Wife and I are road tripping 3000+ miles to Glacier National Park & back here at the end of the month and I'm trying to come up with stuff to do on the long boring parts of the trip.
We usually call out state plates, make up phrases with the plate numbers and and the typical "slug bug."
What...
Markup pays for more than just dealer profit.
Lights gotta stay on.
Employee benifits need paid.
Don't cry about paying, you bought a depriciating liability. It's part of it.
Yes. Taking it to the dealer will resolve this.
No different than the cruise control harness ford supplied to several product lines from the late 90s to the early 00's.
What's half assed? The advertised repair, for the trim model addressed, is industry standard. As stated, the NHTSA has thier hands in this as well. Certain models, production years, and powertrain options have different harnesses. What's proper on one, may not be close to proper on the next.

Went and crawled around my '23 after reading. Thankfully nothing appears to be of any immediate concern, as we have a ~3k mile road trip planned at the end of August.
I'm really not worried about a "thermal event." How many 100k+ mile broncos exist now? 15 KNOWN events over a 500,000+...

Eager to see what the repair consists of.
There are a lot of people upset that a manufacturer is going to fix a problem before it negatively affects them...
Eager to see what they're looking at for a chafe point. It seems that its a KOER/KOEO issue, so its appears switched power at face value.
Ive got mixed emotions on this.
On one hand, i think belts on important internal components isnt something id go for.
On the other hand, this is a good show that theyre not really a large concern.
Would be a prime vehicle to install a lower mile salvage yard engine/trans into! Did...
Its the wifes daily, so I wasnt really worried. We're going to Glacier here at the end of august, and want to do this before we go.
Ive got the tool, I work on diesel pickups, so were good there!
My 23 badlands just rolled 50k miles and is due for axle and transfer case fluid change.
Im having a hard time identifying what specifications for fluid It takes. I've read Mercon LV, or ford transfer case fluid. If it was a traditional transfer case itd get LV without a thought. Being a...
