Arguably, the Everglades was the most capable Bronco off the showroom floor, but I'm sure the Bronco trim-police will be along shortly to explain how it's just a Black Diamond with a Snorkel.

What good is a snorkel on a vehicle that will shit the alternator (and probably other electronics) if you go that deep in water? Not being snarky I really want to know. (I have been belly deep in my rzr with snorkels and portals btw)
I like the heritage style fenders.

I wanted a EG, but wanted a 2 door more. If I was getting a 4 door it would be this.

I had a local dealer watching for an Everglades and, when this one rolled off the truck, I snagged it. Have since traveled from Monument through the Colorado mountains to Moab, the Tetons, and Yellowstone, and haven't looked back (except for every time I walk away from it)... :like:

The EG IMO is the most bang for the buck stock. All the off-road goodies plus a winch and snorkel. The fording depth is greater, and you get the wash-out floors etc. The sticker actually has a purpose because it serves to show how deep you are and can get in the EG

I think they may not have sold as well because of two things. At the price they were offered, some people wanted a 2.7. The 2.3 was only offered. Many saw the 2.3 as a small offering, so they passed. Others wanted more luxury. Front cameras, better seats, maybe a few more things for the price. So they passed.

I had a chance to purchase an EG, but like many, I wanted the 2.7. Also coming out of my Harley-Davidson F150, I wanted the same amenities it had in my Bronco. Thus, a 2.7 LUX package, non-SAS Badlands, as I knew I would redo the suspension bits. Looking back on what I know now, I would have been fine, perhaps with an EG.

I almost didn't get the EG because I wanted the 2.7 as well--- but I can confirm in 4WD low with the lockers locked there is no noticeable difference between the 4 and the 6

The superb looking squared fender openings originated on the Everglades, and was then shared with the Heritage Edition.

Not really. The squared fender and flares was unique to the HEs and only shared on the Everglades. The HE was supposed to make it's debut a year earlier and the Everglades a year later. It was only because of the mod top delays that the public got the Everglades before the HE.

They certainly add to the appearance and uniqueness of the Everglades and Heritage Edition.

Best model for off-roading, and probably the best value bronco. The 2.3 with the fprd tune is totally fine, quicker off the line than the 2.7 in my experience and testing. I guess if one really wants more power (but why in a bronco??), the 2.7 is better with a tune, but won't do anything for you offroad compared to the 2.3.
Sticker comes off easily ;)

Snorkel is not just for water fording. I live down a very dusty dirt road have been to Merus twice, Hidden Falls half a dozen times, Moab twice, been on 10 different beach runs, still have dirt from our first Moab trip In the hardtop and other nooks and crannies, 46,139 miles and just replaced the air filter, and it still had quite a bit of life left but I had already bought it so I replaced it. To me it is the Best Bronco I could have purchased, and that big honking sticker drove me nuts while I was waiting for this thing to be built, until I saw them for the first time at night in the misty fog with a bright flashlight. they grew on me, now they are one of my favorite things. the sticker and the snorkel are the only "special" things left for the Everglades. Mid package with the 12" screen, the best looking wheels, flat fenders, Desert Sand, you can get all of these on other vehicles. We did the second Pilot of the Ford off-road Connect in Merus back in May of 23 I was talking with a Ford big wig that was there and he told me there were less than 600 made to that point. My theory they only sold them through MY24 to make sure they made more than 1966 of them so the HEL folks would have a more rare model.

I wanted the Everglades because it’s very cool. But I wanted the manual and sway bar disconnect more, so I went with the Badlands, not one regret!
