I can see these becoming the new mini sport trucks that were popular back in the day. A cheap blank canvas to customize. Question is, how long will it take to charge it? For only 150 miles, it shouldn't take that long and should work on 110/120v.

Love it for around town. Love rwd. Love the simplicity. Honestly at this price point it’s about perfect for my daily commute, parking in a city garage, and running errands from the hardware store or taking stuff to the dump. I’d get a ton of use out of it and keep the other vehicles for long distance comfort for the whole family or going off-roading and camping.

I just don’t see the timeline for reservations to order to delivery anywhere.

Ars Technica is saying they're targeting late 2026 for production, but they're also skeptical they'll be ready by then.

IF those ever come on the market at the price-point listed I would certainly be interested. RWD would be just fine because the only dirt it would see would be the road through the dump. I don't need it for winter commuting either, so AWD or 4x4 just wouldn't be necessary for me. No chance I'm giving them $50 to reserve my chance to get burned when they go bankrupt next year.

First thing I thought was can I bag it! I really see this being in my future as 5 seat SUV would be perfect for my wife if there is enough head room in the back for my dogs. I forsee the version I want costing $30-40K.
