Well that's gonna suck for the manual trans people that use the tach to know when to shift (being on the left), and yes, I still see people that do it that way vs. the feel of it.

Now how about a version with real gauges and less electronics to go bad?

the Bronco Sport guages are a good fit here if you want analog style. I almost bought it 2 yrs ago. (it uses big Broncos avatar on it which is a big plus)

The last best mechanical Ford cluster.

You beat me to it. The cluster in my '15 GT/PP (with GT350 center gauges) is my favorite of everything I've owned.

It doesn't get any better than this view through a steering wheel. Clear and concise analog tach and speedo, with a small configurable screen in the center.

I prefer just a center mounted tach with digital speedo in the middle like Porsche, Lexus LFA, Audi RS clusters. Every modern vehicle I have driven with redundant analog and digital speedometer I only pay attention to the digital speedo so I don't need another big analog dial in front of me outside of a tach which to me is most important especially with a manual transmission.

Perhaps a bit of cost bias here? Always suspect when someone rattles off a list of expensive cars. I like the configurable screens in my 22 Bronco, but honestly when it comes to aesthetics and function nothing beats the panel in my 2012 Mazda. This is what every good panel should be:

1. Symmetrical
2. Large equal size Tach & Speedo
3. Easy to read
4. Simple

Funny, this new cluster is very similar to the cluster in the wife's '24 Aviator--I always thought Ford should have done it in the Bronco.
The lack of numerals, ie temp, is not a huge concern as we can interpolate. I would like actual boost as it is a great way to avoid fuel loss.
Will update as I gain confidence in ForScan while adding "rock crawl" to my "Wildlands", that is if I can hide the cost from the wife...

Jut tell the wife you got it on eBay. That's how I got my modular bumper or so I tell her ...

The China version may be different, because I’ve never seen that screen. It looks a lot more like the Braptor cluster.
Although I also don’t ever put it on the fuel economy page of the cluster. The only place a see a bronco is during the goat mode transitions

The one thing that bugs me to no end in the old cluster is the different scale on the engine and trans temp gauge readouts. It always seems like the transmission is way to close to overheating because it’s always waaay over to the right near the red while engine temp sits happily in the middle and both are within a few degrees of each other. WTH is the point of doing it that way.

I wonder if it’s the same in this new cluster.

It only looked like that when you were watching the line of multiple gauges. It’s was just an illusion that made it seem like it was closer to the “red” zone that it actually was because the temperature ranges of the transmission and oil temperature are different. If you looked at the individual gauges it gave you a much better idea.

The new cluster doesn’t have the multi gauge display. Every gauge is individual.

That looks great! My first car was a 1994 SVT Cobra with a completely analog cluster. This cluster got repurposed in many custom builds. Interesting to realize now that the Speedo was on the left.
