Shit my ‘24 has always done the short drop on all 4 when unlocking with the fob. I let it update the other day, I hope that didn’t go away. The rocks turning into a horse screen went away in the previous update and I’m still pissed about that. Anyone I showed the bronco to was impressed by that.
I it does still do the short stop when I unlock with the fob. Build Jan 2024.

I tested my '23 that previously had this, guess the update took it away but not like I missed it evidently. Still sucks they take features away at will since it wasn't causing issues that I noticed.

This is the one feature I do miss when the unlock button on the key fob or inside buttons are pressed and the windows lower.
I called Ford when the 11-26-2024 software update took this function away, they're response was we don't know what you're talking about......
You got one of the clueless Ford reps. How many there are is the key question. 😳

Another thread that could have been helpful to Bronco owners until @Ducati1098 came along and made everything authoritatively clear as mud.
If you can’t respect Ducati’s continued contributions here then you just haven’t been paying attention.

Dude, your way out of line. Ducati1098 works at ford and goes out of his way to help anybody with questions and parts information. I don't understand what was misleading. Anyway, Thank you Ducati 1098 for all that you do for us Bronco owners
Absolutely right about Ducati the Mazerati!!!

Appreciate the information @Ducati1098, i have a late MY22 and i have been chasing this feature since last summer. Another Braptor built within weeks of mine had his DDM/PDM flashed and got it but it was gone from software for those modules when i got mine flashed a month or so later.

I have to make adjustments to my driver’s window anyway as mine has some flop/slop when I close the door. I’d held off as I’d hoped it would get done when those modules went in to get flashed. Alas no… but I prefer knowing it’s time to give up hope.

Lots of component variation occurred during COVID which may help explain why different trucks built weeks apart have tiny variations in software-enabled functionality. Once Ford figured out that back porting this capability to older builds was introducing new bugs, i understand why they stopped further distribution and rolled back those folks who had it.

I appreciate that @Ducati1098 was able to provide the latest updates in this saga. Would have been nice to have if it was easy to do, but as someone who makes hardware and software work together, I understand and appreciate the challenges of making multiple generations of sensors and models work from a common software branch. And introducing new bugs when you do so? Every dev and mechanical/mechatronics engineer’s nightmare fuel.

This right here... Our 23 did the recent window update. Ever since Ive been fighting the stupid passenger side windows. I can reprogram them and after a few stop start cycles they are hanging up again and not dropping. Pretty frustrating. I wished it had never updated- zero issues with this vehicle before this "update"
DITTO, very frustrating that all was fine and now I have to reprogram at lest one window every couple of weeks. I have a June 23 build and while the short-drop does work, the glass will catch if I don’t open door slowly. I’m in habit now to pull handle while holding door shut till it drops...

Windows just need to be adjusted if that’s happening.

Thx Duc, I did read your post above, just frustrating that all was fine before the OTA “update“ and now I have to have windows adjusted! I recently stopped by my LFD to inquire about losing my Bronco start-up sequence (rocks animation) via an OTA update and they claimed they had never heard anything about it and couldn’t do anything about it. Hard to believe I’m the only Bronco owner to ever mention losing this?

Recently bought a new 24 Street Glide and HD is in process of enabling OTA updates. Forum members were gushing about it, my comment was watch out what you wish for (based on my experience with OTA updates on my Bronco). Is what it is, I realize, but OTA updates are unimpressive (IMO) to say the least. Still enjoying my Bronco though!

There’s lot of threads on people losing the rolling rocks. Unfortunately depending on which update you’re are, Ford removed it and there’s no known way of getting it back.

Well I know I am a computer idiot and following instructions was never a strong suit but I have tried “adjusting“ windows a few times and nothing changes as far as I can tell…

You've manually adjusted the windows a few times? Following the procedure attached below?

No that is a whole different thing than folks are saying just hold the up down buttons for 10 seconds…again why you are the man!! Probably let the dealer do this adjustment when I go in the top leak…thanks!

I just turned off auto updates yesterday. Don’t want to lose anything else lol.

Mostly turned it off because I’m flat towing it this week. Don’t want to chance it updating while being towed and causing weirdness like it coming out of tow mode. It’s really a shame we can’t trust Fords software changes.
