I'm looking for feedback on anyone who has used either of these two options to mount the twin air compressor. I'd like to hear both the pros and cons that you have experienced.

Option 1. The DV8 Air Compressor Mount & Storage Box and figure out how to mount the air chuck under the rear bumper. This would reduce some of my storage but would keep extra weight off of the tailgate.

Option 2. AGS Off Road Air-Gate Kit installation with optional Filter Relocation Kit
With the filter relocation kit I'm not too worried about the compressor being located behind the spare tire mount. I do wonder if the extra weight on the tailgate will cause any issues in the long run.

I'm waiting to see when the new Brushless ARB twin air compressor will be released...seems to be any time now so if anyone has heard of the release date please let me know.

If anyone has a different mounting location I'm open to suggestions.

This will be on a 24 Bronco Raptor

I have the DV8 box in my '23 Raptor, but have yet to buy the air compressor. The box is a stupid simple install in the Raptor, all done from the interior side. It still offers some storage in half the box as well.

Just waiting on a good sale to pop up on the dual ARB. I don't think I will use it enough to need the brushless...

I got an email from ARB saying the brushless twin will be available on Friday. No release date for the single or portable compressors.

You can subscribe to updates on their site.

I did the AGS spare tire mount and installed the M2M tailgate support for good measure.
it’s been super quiet, convenient, and no signs after 2ish months of causing droop on the tailgate.
I’ve really enjoyed having it inside the spare tire and not in the cargo area.
About 1:30 per tire going from 18-19 psi up to 35-36. Power is connected to an Aug switch, which is also convenient. Hope this helps in your decision.

i'd be curious to know if using the dv8 storage box how there's enough air circulation for the compressor, especially with it being under the floor and with the new brushless model's active cooling

I’ve had the DV8 box for more than a year with the ARB twin installed. Probably used 50-80 times already. Chuck under the rear bumper and chuck under the hood. No problems thus far and not expecting any. ARB compressor will likely outlive me.

I just picked up the AGS setup (with filter relocation) for my Raptor but haven’t installed it yet. If anyone has any installation tips/tricks or gotchas, please be sure to share.

I have seen and read quite a few install the twin ARB with the DV8 box to success. I went with the single ARB /w pressure control in the tailgate with the AAL mount. So far so good.

I ordered the ARB brushless twin air compressor this morning. I'm leaning towards getting the DV8 air compressor mount and storage box. I'll update when I decide. Now I need to find a good bracket to mount the airline under the bumper

I recall seeing somewhere on here that someone offered a complete pre-built wiring harness to put the dual compressor in the back...

AAL has a wiring harness, fully made for this. It works well. I bought it for the single kit that goes into the tailgate, I would think it could work for the dual compressor. Probably could ask them about it.

Congrats! Please let us know how you end up mounting it. The brushless compressors have a quick release mounting mechanism, but there’s not a lot of info out there about it.

I emailed ARB to get some info about mounting them and will share their response here.

PS: ARB sells a remote hose coupling mount kit you might be able to use on your bumper:

No, but i do 4-5 weeklong off road “holidays” per year and probably avg 2-3 air up/down cycles per day on those. Mostly BDR trails, so down to 20psi going onto the section, 2 hours driving, back up to 35psi for the road stretch to the next section, back down to 20psi for the next section. I did Seattle to Vegas and back and easily 40-50% was BDR trails. I probably get out one weekend a month for local stuff. I tow a teardrop so i air those tires at the same time.

first trip this year was Seattle to KOH. All highway until Johnson Valley, a few cycles there over four days. This year I hope to do more Montana BDR and interior British Columbia
