Base (non SAS) 2 door wheel/tire options

Recently purchased a 2022 base non Sasquatch 2 door. Looking to upgrade the base silver 16” steelies. I like the BD black 17” steelies and have a few options to purchase on FB. Do these work with the base model? Would want 285’s tires to get 33s.

Yes, they will work and they will look great. The tire you want is 285-70-17 which will be the same diameter and same width as the ones that I have, you can see details in this video.

Or, you can save money and paint your steelies black, and install 285-75-16 which I personally think looks even better because you get that extra sidewall. See how to paint in this video

I bought a base Bronco I found 18 inch Ranger Wheels on Ebay and I put on 255 70 18s which are the standard size for the Outer Banks I believe they are 32s and I have no clearance issues with them they had the stock offset of plus 55 mm

FYI, take-off complete sets of BB/OBX can be had for $200-400 on Craigslist/FB in many places.

35 or 37 s 2 in lift the 37s are terramax rt this is my base7 speed . you can do a10.50 or a 11.50 on a steely.up a 37 37s you will need a 2 in lift and a 1.5 wheel spacer . you do not need a lift to run 35

In my daily street driving , they never rub unless I am at full lock and hit the curb at the end of my driveway ... or the mall parking lot ....

33's will be fine.

I ran Method Wheels, but others have used factory wheels and no or very minor issues at 35".

I wouldn't push 35's off road too hard, but the 33's most likely would not have any rubbing issues.

If you have a manual, the 4.46 gearing will be perfect for 33's, but still useable for up to 35's.

I went with some OBX wheels/tires on mine. 32" tires. I figured they'd be fine since that is what comes on a non-SAS OBX with 3.73 diff. There are really only 2 issues:
1) Have to use Forscan to recalibrate tire-size for odometer.
2) Make sure if you buy wheels/tires that you can validate that the TPMS are present. Mine were not, and it cost an extra $200 to get them bought/installed/programmed.

I’ve bounced back and forth on this subject with my 2 DR Base. I do like the look of my Base steelies and the ease of just tossing on some new tires. @Ehucek kept his steelies and added 32” General Grabbers, which looks great.

I JUST went back to the factory set up ... another plus for not having it lifted yet !!!

Apparently the 255/85-16's @ 33.1" are getting some love from the manufacturers because I NEVER had that size pop up at Tiresize.com , tirerack etc, when looking through everything they list. Nothing worth a dang anyways.
There are two Wildpeaks available now.
, a MT (E rated) and the new AT4 .... in a C Load Range !!!

Just got back from a road trip with 20ish hours total driving on roads packed with snow and ice like white glass. Freeway, city, winding country roads…a real mix. Winter storms the whole way up and back from Detroit to Marquette. The Wildpeak M/T didn’t disappoint. At this point I’ll replace this set with the same thing in ~20k miles.
