I found my in-cab noise over on the passenger side. The right/front MIC top removable roof panel latch's black plastic trim cover was very loose (the one in the front corner)
I removed it and the issue is the design.......not the parts. The left front is loose/sloppy too, but no noise. I'd be embarrassed to call it a day with a design like that.
When they're firmly clipped in, they're still loose fitting. If all else fails, I'll put foam in them to take up the slack.
What's troubling is the 2 metal mounting clips each one uses are not mentioned on the parts list.

When I look it up, every model only lists a 2-door application in the description. They ought to be the same.........but this is my 4-door.

Mine is loose as well, and there's a good chance any new ones will be too. I think you're better off using foam to keep it from rattling like you mentioned

It’s really an embarrassingly stupid design. A few pennies of foam within the base of the cover, e.g. strategically placed blocks of foam, would have yielded an acceptable design.

Mines loose too, though I’ve never heard it rattling. Might just put some foam in there though ;)

So I checked the covers on my 2024 Heritage and they're extremely tight. Not the least amount of slop.
How can it be that two 2024 Broncos have an entirely different installation result?
And installation is hardly complex, two perpendicular tabs with metal clips.
I assume the 2-door and 4-door variants use the same "retainer plates" that the clips attach to. It's as though my covers were installed, "yanked off" rather than the clip wings carefully depressed........and then reinstalled with damaged clips resulting in loose mounting.

I was having an annoying ticking/clicking sound as well. For quite awhile I thought maybe it was the pins in the front hardtop panel rattling around. After seeing your post I checked the passenger plastic trim piece and it flops a lot. I duct taped it to see if it’s the culprit and sure enough- it is. The driver side is fairly loose but doesn’t click.
How did you use foam to alleviate? Thanks for pointing this out- was driving me nuts!

It's winter here so keeping the tops on, but id probably just chop up some foam from stuff I had and see what fits. you only need to add pressure.

I'm glad my post allowed you to realize where your noise is originating.

My left side "rocks", it's loose, but not as loose as the noisy right side.
I thought, if I put some soft foam inside the cover, on the floor of the cover, then when I reinstall it to the point that the two clips pass thru the plate holes and "catch", then the foam will ensure they are "seated" and can not rock.
Now that said, after realizing how much they can rock when loose, I was shocked at how tight the covers are on my (same year) 2024 Heritage are.
Did Michigan Assembly harshly pull the covers back off my Everglades to redo something, and damage the metal clips?
And why can't we buy the metal clips separately ???
I can buy new covers for $12 but that's so wasteful when I only need four new metal clips.

Until I can get new clips, or buy new covers, I have a paper towel stuffed into the passenger side cover on the inner side under the horizontal metal plate making it tight and silent.
