HOSS 3.0 Lift options?

With BFG KO2 I know that setup would be fine as I have ran 37x12.5 on both the stock wheels and an 17x9 +0. The wheel falls in between and world work with a KO2.

That said Ridge Grapplers run bigger than BFGs so it leaves me a bit stumped but it might be cutting it close on the rear of the front wheel wells near the crash bar.

if your concerned with retaining the Hoss 3.0 Fox Shock ride quality you might want to take a look at the weight of those tires, they are really heavy tires >80 lbs. The shocks are not valved for tires that heavy, that’s why so many people go with the KO2’s when they go to 37’s because there the lightest out there ~66lbs. Just a heads up.

I hit the Zone UCA’s with Baja Boss A/T 37x12.50 on stock wheels at full lock. If I didn’t have the JKS mod done I would have hit crash bars front and rear.
I added spacers, which would be equivalent to 0 offset wheels and that helped clear the UCA’s but would have hit the crash bars even more and that was just on flat ground in the garage.

It was a bust. The seller told me 70-80% treadlife remaining … yea, right. It turns out they were more like 20% remaining for 3 of them. One of them maybe 60-70%

Oh well. Will continue to bargain hunt!

I found a set of four 90+% new Recon Grapplers, 37x12.5 r18 on Facebook Market. $1100. And he bought my 295/70r18s for $400. So I netted out at $175 per tire for 4 (my spare is a little smaller but that’s ok until I can find a deal on another)

They fit with no rubbing whatsoever, and this is with the Zone 2.25 kit only — crash bar mounts still entact.

I will likely get the JKS kit installed here as I’m sure I’ll rub under any serious flexing, or driving down any significant enough decline that puts more weight up front … but I’m a happy man not to have to modify just yet until I’m ready for a next off-road trip.

I added a fab fours matrix bumper and warn evo winch to my hoss 3.0 Wildtrak and lost an inch on the front, and it was really soft on the front end. My solution was to get the Eibach pro-lift springs and I’m very happy with how it drives now. I got 2 inches in the front (so 1 inch higher than stock) and a little over an inch in the rear. Still have a small amount of rake.

I’ve been reading through all kinds of threads on the hoss3.0. The question I have is, has anyone done 3” front and rear perch collars and left the 1 1/4 leveling kit in? I understand the 3 and 2.25 from RPG and that levels it. But if you go 3 all around with the level kit, would it be fine. Mine will never be ran hard off road. I’ve rode in several with perch lifts so save the it’s gonna ride like crap. I plan on running 38x13.50x20 nittos and 20x10 wheels with -12 or -20 offset. Seen a few with same tire and -12 that have added wheel spacers. I would just rather do -20.

You only posted this two months ago, but are you still enjoying the ride? I just bought the Ford Performance Winch setup and am looking for solutions to fix the sag that will surely come along with installing it. I think at some point I'll look into a solution like the ADS shocks, but my Wildtrak is only 15 months old with 14k miles on it and want to continue enjoying the stock Fox shocks while I can.

Thats just asking for trouble stacking lifts IMHO. You would be better with a body lift + suspension lift to get what you're looking for. I would pay special attention to the angles and geometry. That is a heavy tire and wheel combo that will add additional stress. If this is the route you plan I would look into the 74 Weld steering upgrade, stronger tie rods, JKS Max Cleaarance Kit and a dif drop if needed. .

I was apprehensive about using a spring compressor. I took it to a local off-road place - can’t remember what they charged but it wasn’t too bad. Took one day, including the alignment.

I haven't done anything yet, but based on what I've read, I will be going with the Eibach springs for the HOSS 3.0. The winch and suspension install should be happening in the next couple months! Like like you're going this route as well, so update this thread after you get it done!
