I was apprehensive about using a spring compressor. I took it to a local off-road place - canāt remember what they charged but it wasnāt too bad. Took one day, including the alignment.
I added a fab fours matrix bumper and warn evo winch to my hoss 3.0 Wildtrak and lost an inch on the front, and it was really soft on the front end. My solution was to get the Eibach pro-lift springs and Iām very happy with how it drives now. I got 2 inches in the front (so 1 inch higher than...
I was wondering about this too. I measured and ended up buying 3/8 pins with 2 inch working length. Turns out those were probably too long by 1/2 inch and you could go 1.5 inches.
I did this today. Works great! I ended up using two washers on the top and only one on the back. I couldnāt get the top to latch with only one set of washers, but the back was too loose with two so I took one off. I wonder if the top will need to have a washer removed once the foam settles.
Just got mine intalled tonight. A couple thoughts while they are fresh on my mind:
1. Install wasnāt too bad. After reading reports I was planning for a long project. I did this over two nights and probably spent 4-4.5 hours total. I took my time and watched the video as I went along.
2. I...
Did you use spray or liquid FlexSeal, or the glue? Iāve got a SlipStream on order and am thinking about doing your suggestions out of the gate. Thanks for the feedback
Thanks for sharing your experience - do you have much extra added weight in the back? I was worried the Eibach might be too stiff in the back as I donāt have much back there. My thinking was, Iāve created more pre-load on my springs (and thus my position-sensitive shocks) with the heavy...
@Mitch Panda Motorworks Have you seen anybody use just the front springs? I had about an inch of rake and then added a heavy bumper/winch combo and lost another 7/8 inch height in the front so now sitting at about 2 inches rake and the front ride is soft. Iām wondering if I add just the front...
I have a Wildtrak and had an inch of rake on it stock. I just added a pretty heavy winch/bumper, and lost almost an inch up front so now Iām sitting at just shy of 2 inches rake. I definitely think the front is riding softer as well. Could someone give an opinion on what would happen if I added...
I am using the full height on the front (bought two sets, have the passenger lifted/jacked too). My seats are powered so canāt comment on cranks, but I still have them elevated. I set closer to upright.
I would like do to that, but I couldnāt figure out if their leveling kit would work with hoss 3.0. I probably just need to call them but if anyone has any insight as to whether this kit would work, Iād appreciate any insight.
Bit of a weird question I know, but hereās the deal:
I entered the Fab Fours Christmas contest and managed to win a $250 gift certificate to FabTech. Iām very happy to have won it but it was not the prize I was shooting for (planning a bumper/winch upgrade in the near future).
Iāve got a...
not sure if youāve found the answer yet, but Northridge 4x4 currently has a great deal on the Warn Evo 10, it comes to $269 after rebate. This is the one that Fab Fours says fits on their website. Itās the steel cable model and comes with wired only control, but my plan was to buy synthetic rope...
Thanks for the info and the picture - that helps. Let us know how the camera mount works out, I was worried the bar is so low profile it would be tough to get a camera relocate wedged in there but hopefully since DV8 and ADD are the same company theyāve thought ahead and itās compatibLe.
As for...
Haha yeah , thatās right. I bet if someone was really motivated they could shave a Baja S2 case a bit and jam it in, but Iām not gonna be that guy.
