I've tried prying and they yeild some on the sides but the top seems like it is screwed to the light or something.... anyone have any ideas???

Just like with any cover, pull it off. Original owner likely never removed the covers (only for show). You can try adding water as a lubricant. When owners never remove the covers to clean, than the slightest bit of grit and soap residue acts like a bonding agent. The set bolt on the backside in your pictures is for the lens ring and to open/service the lights.

They pry off from the top & bottom - 12 & 6 o’clock. Just use your thumbs at 12&6 and push forward from the rear. It takes some force but you will get it!

They can be tricky and a bit intimidating the first time you do it.

The key is to be gentle, but deliberate with your movements. Very carefully, reach behind and with a soft pinching movement, squeeze carefully. Make sure you support the front with your other hand. Being soft and gentle is key here. You might fumble about, don't worry. Rub the front a bit as you find the sweet spot with your other hand. They will harden up as you work it, this is normal and an indication you're doing it right. As they release, keep a soft, firm grip and slowly lower them down.

Congratulations. You've earned this. Now make sure you bask in the soft glow and soak up the beauty your persistence has revealed.

We’re still talking about the light covers right? 🤣

Pull from the very top. There is a locking tab there that seems to be the easiest one to detach, and pull out-n-down.
You can also apply slight pressure to the center to help as you pull that top tab out.

Guy in my local group outfitted his WT with KC lights. He was so proud to show them off at the dinner meet. He admitted that he will never drive the Bronco off road. He just liked the look.

I was puzzled. Why opt for a trim with the Sasquatch package standard and then accessorize it with lights that can only be used off road? Certainly, he could have achieved the "look" with a lower trim and even knock-off lights with KC covers. His money - His rig. Just seems like his wife would have appreciated a trip rather than seeing tits on a bull.
