Does anyone know what’s going on with the Auxiliary switches as an independent add-on? I know in the build sheets under changes; it mentions that they’re standard with most models now but doesn’t mention them being completely deleted from others as an add-on. I’ve already ordered my Outerbanks but wanted to know if anyone knows whether that’ll be changed or not? If not, are all broncos going to have the same wiring harness and prewiring since it’s Standard on a majority of builds now?

No Auxiliary switches in the 2025 Outer Banks... Roll again.

It’s more than just the wiring harness.

I don't understand why they're taking random stuff away now for the OBX, guess the ordering history speaks for itself. But if I were to re-order my 2024 now for 2025, it would only be about $1,500 less and not have rear locking differential (4.27), auxiliary switches, steel bumper with brush guard. That's a lot of functionality to lose for just $1,500. The flip side would be the updated digital dash and rear HVAC vents. In my opinion, that's not a trade I would make personally. Feels like they're trying to push everything to the Sasquatch package now, which isn't of interest to me.

The OBX is acknowledged as the mall crawler--easy pickings for cost cutting moves like this.

yep. Another way of saying that is, it's an awfully big amount of cost for Ford to save.

I'm glad I got my '23 with the 2.7, 4A, rear locker, and aux switches. I imagine if I want to move to a different model (maybe 60th anniversary?), it has plenty of value for plenty of buyers.

oh, absolutely they are.

I agree, it feels like they’re trying to play into the whole “pavement princess” stigma the community gives the OBX. While yes, I will mainly be using it for that reason 😂; it would still be nice to have the off road functionalities that you’d assume a bronco has. The biggest selling point on why I’ve loved the Outerbanks since the new gen releases is the MIC fenders and mirrors, but realistically I’m paying almost 10k more than a base for some more speakers, heated seats, and some cool little things here and there. Shame they’ve streamlined it so much. Guess there’s always the $1000’s I can spend post delivery.

I suspect many cross-shop the OBX to the Sahara as a natural comparison. Unless if they know Jeep is doing the same thing or about to, they would be wise to not step too far away from what you can get on the Sahara. I like the colored fenders and mirrors too! I wanted one that looked less rugged, but still able to hold its own in that world if asked to. Sand, mud, trails, snow, etc., and not having to live with 35 inch tires on the M/F daily commute. Looks like they dropped the 4.27 rear axle altogether in general now. Wonder why? Don't think it's been problematic, and have seen several ordered OBX's with the rear locker 4.27 during my search last year. Oh well, just makes those with those features that more rare and valuable if reselling someday. Don't know why I'm complaining, I should just shut my pie hole and get back to football and turkey leftovers....

Have to change the fuse box also, quite the process. Video online but does not mention the cost in cdn dollars for harness and fusebox.

Aux Switches are no longer a stand alone option for any trim. It's standard on Badlands, Stroppe, Raptor, and Black Diamond Package on the Big Bend.

So the question is are the wiring harnesses in place on all 2025 models?

Hmm, great questions. I wish I had a source to help but the brand manager refuses to answer my emails.
Would love to hear if you find anything out!

That sucks should be standard on every Bronco, looking to buy Big Bend 2 door Eruption Green with aux switches, modular bumper, brush guard and hitch, that means no 2025.

Yup we were going to get a 25 2dr big bend, but well Ford neutered that idea. We might snag a 24, but its not really a priority anymore. The other crap is without it being an option on the base, you now have to go to an aftermarket control system to build a rig. The whole point was accessorizing your bronco and Ford has given up on that unless you spend the big $$$.
