A question for anyone who has installed the Hanspilot AUX switches. I recently did the install and the directions at the end get very vague. Question #1 do I need to use the ILL wire to the interior fuse box? (Is it optional). Question #2 do I need to wire it into the OME wires under the hood to complete the circuit?

thanks

Watching because very interested in Pic one to get some switches in a decent location like higher trims have....

Not a fan of Pic 2... I've done worse when I was younger but is that just the pic from their page or what you really needed to go through.

I watched their YouTube but not clear.

After their switch panel and relay is installed how are the accessories connected? Are all Broncos wired for all the possible connections or only those with the Ford Switches. I've read both so not sure.
- I've seen one one video a new fuse box is needed...???

2024 BB SAS bare bones for reference.

Yes that pic number 2 is what you need to do to get the overhead switches installed. Everything comes out and even some air bags have to dangle.
I attached some ditch lights but I got to check all my connections because they are not working. I just need some time to troubleshoot

I just spent the day installing the Hanspilot switches, a Wolfbox review cam and rewiring my rear fogs. The switches took maybe 1.5 hrs to install but I only had to take the left side apart, the right column and airbag don't need to be removed. It look much worse than it is but I will say Ford came up with the crappiest design for the roll bar trim pieces. I know they can't "connect" because the airbag needs to blast through there bit there needs to be a more secure way to keep things tight. The relay box has a wire loom with 6 switch wires coming out of it. I used one to hook up to my existing rear fog wire but I plan on using the factory ran switch wires when possible going forward. No fuse box needed.

All in all- what a great system. Horrible instructions but great design and very high quality as well.

Thanks Fast Eddie... Good to know it is not brain surgery level!

When you say 'The relay box has a wire loom with 6 switch wires coming out of it. I used one to hook up to my existing rear fog wire but I plan on using the factory ran switch wires when possible going forward.' are these 6 switch wires (pairs?) just unterminated wires out of the relay box? And then you route them as needed - which makes sense to me. But how to connect to the Ford pre-wired wires? I'm honestly not sure if all Broncos have them - but have read mostly that they are pre-wired - and where they terminate. I would assume the fusebox but not sure as I've not taken anything apart yet.

So for example relay box to ditch lights in the bumper (I have the uncapable bumber but...).. are the wires already there for all Broncos and I just need to tap into them somehow with this relay box?

Thanks
Ice

There are just 6 hot unterminated (but capped) wires, typically you ground close to where you are installing. My 2025 OBX has the wires run throughout the truck and they all end near the drivers firewall (where you used to find a brake booster on older vehicles). I just have no switches and the harness in the windshield frame is different. No idea why Ford changed that harness but left the other main one alone (maybe having to do with it being a much bigger harness so it would make sense to just have 1 skew). Honestly they should all just come prewired fully or just come with the switches.

I just used the red wire and tapped the engine compartment fuse box- I didn't use the orange extension wire to tap the inside box. I have no idea why they give you both since you can only use one, and the instructions are abysmal.

Is your set up always on? I used the engine bay fuse 139 and the switches always work. I assumed they would not have power with the engine off.

No, my ignition needs to be on for the switches to work.

Yes nvm. They just stay on for maybe 15 min after it's off. So that's probably best case.
