My condolences to the people who Ford made your car obsolete.

In my opinion Outer Banks is the next one to go.
2-door Bronco is still the King.

I think Ford has realized Bronco sales have long peaked and competition is everywhere. Ford will cut production in 2025 to meet real world supply without lowering prices. No more overproducing BRaptors.

I see new LandCruisers EVERYWHERE now. They are the newest "pavement princess" fad which self destructs when mildly offroading (https://www.landcruiserforum.com/threads/took-it-off-roading-its-in-the-shop.1858/). I argue they are a better daily than an OBX though and OBX sales might tumble. I personally would not daily a Bronco.

Eliminating all 2 door Broncos would be surprising. It looks so much better/iconic as a 2 door. Crazy to eliminate totally.

Ford doesn't care about looks or it being iconic. All they care about is money.
And the 2 door doesn't sell as much, which is probably why it got severely neutered for 2025.
If they cared about something being iconic, they would've cut the 4 door heritage, and not the 2 door.

My legit question, is why keep BB and make BD an option to it. I always saw a BB as a Base with wheels and only opens up the option packages alittle.

I honestly think they should have left BD and canc'ed BB and let Base get the option packages opened up.

First remember that the people on this site are enthusiasts and represent a tiny % of the people buying broncos. Most car buyers don't want a base model. BB opened up better wheels ( I will die on this hill that steelies are hideous LOL), and option packages that the base didn't have. It's like the XLT or STX of the F-150 line up. Not everyone can afford a Lariat(OBX) or needs all the options available on it.

Once all trims had the MGV interior, there was no reason BD needed to be it's on model. It's essentially a BB with the good off road bits. Also remember a high number of broncos sold will never see dirt so forcing people into either base or a trim with a good bit of off road bits doesn't sound like a good way to get people into broncos. Honestly, the BD is the trim I see the least of.

So you have the base for the purists/budget friendly

BB for the average buyer that want's some creature comforts, with the option to add good off road bits, tires, lockers, skids, aux switches,

OBX for the creature comfort crowd

BL for the hardcore.

Still love my wildtrak. It was the best option at the time of purchase. Hoss 3.0 wasn’t offered in badlands. And adding the electronic sway bar disco was easier than manually disconnecting and only requires the flip of an aux switch at any speed and any drive combination.
Not sad.

now that the 2dr heritage is gone and it is nearly impossible to get a 2dr 2.7, ford has completely taken me out of the Bronco market just like trying to buy a 2dr pickup has become nearly impossible…I really don’t understand why people think a Bronco, Jeep or pickup make good daily drivers…they are work/play vehicles…

Agree, though they have grown on me.

I think for me, it's the butt. It needs a little more. G6 bumpers wrap and go right to the wheel well. I wish there was a bit of body between the wheel well and the bumper. Even if it's the same distance, it would look more balanced I think.

Seems to me that the Wildtrak suffered from being the pre-Raptor ‘range topper’, rather than digging a heavier emphasis on it being the Baja counterpart to the Badlands rock-crawler. Adding the fox shocks in 2023 helped differentiate, but the significantly higher price tag, and the unnecessarily shinny wheels made it a confusing option. Plus, Baja just isn’t nearly as popular as rock-crawling in the US, except in very specific regions, so without the Stay-Bar disconnect, it seemed on paper to be a less capable off-roader, but for more money.

That said, I added an OEM stay-bar disconnect to my 2023 Wildtrak, and it’s a beast (as long as you don’t look at my beauty rings).

100% agree , Gen 2 to 5 I could live with the 2 door , liked the looks and usable interior space , slept in my Gen 5 all the time , no way I’d own a Gen 1 or 6 2 door bronco , looks cartoonish , Now a Sasquatch gen 6 4 door is perfect in all ways , giddy up, they nailed the 3 panel hardtop pieces coming off for full air experience without touching rear clamshell ,2 door can’t touch it, if ford dropped the 2 door and focused their resources on the 4 door I’d be fine with that , would make financial sense

If it follows what happens with Jeeps, kinda no. I remember a 2013 10th anniversary rubi on sale a few years ago that was basically the same expected price as any 2013 rubi.

I have a relatively rare 2023 392 (1 of 150) and I wouldn't expect it to fetch anything extra tbh.

Sports cars is where the $$$ is at, not these lumbering 4x4s that we all love.

I agree and not in a disrespecting way for the Wildtrak. I knew it would make sense for small amount of people. The package and pricing just didn't make sense to me in '21 or '22. I didn't understand why even desert running people wouldn't go with a SAS BL, saving for the interior color and maybe powerseats. I can't remember if that was standard for WT. Now once HOSS whatever numbers it has been started coming out, yes, then I saw a definitive reason desert runners would go with WT. I saw alot of people just choosing WT, for the bragging rights. They were always the first to bring up trim levels during the "waiting line" part of the forum, pre-delivery.
