I had the same issue. When I picked up the vehicle the plate was already mounted and I didn't think much of it. I'll just remove the bracket and buy an aftermarket version that mounts below the bumper. When I removed the factory plate holder I was shocked to see it was drilled! AND the butchers...

My assumption is the 2.7 would be better for long highway hauling due to the larger displacement. Probably revs lower, maybe better mpg? No real experience with the 2.7. I’m 90% city in my 2.3 suits it perfectly.
