Well, they probably figure the bright colors blind most people so they wanted to make them “high contrast” so people can find the handles to get it.

I think if they planned on doing that, then the new Ranger would've got the updated one also.
Unlikely they will have 2 different 2.3 engines on the same assembly line, but I could be wrong.

The Expedition Max I rented recently tells you what gear you're in (10spd auto).
I kind of like that and wish my Bronco displayed it.

Agreed. VW does not do that in the DSG GTI, unless you get a transmission tune.

Sounds like if you don't opt for SAS with this package, you get the old BD steel wheels?

They probably had a bunch leftover from when they switched the Black Diamond to aluminum but forgot to stop ordering the steel wheels. So they had to come up with a way to use up all the old inventory! lol

So they use the old engine design for 1 year in the brand new updated ranger, then switch?
Like I said, I could be wrong. Just don't see Ford doing that in my opinion

Also, not sure if all trims are getting the digital cluster, but since this is seemingly based on Big Bend, maybe they do?

That is SO much better than the current gauge cluster. Hopefully this will be plug and play.
