Well, months later after being denied warranty from Ford, my supplier was finally able to get a new magnet from Dana/Spicer. Old one ohms 0-0.1 new one ohms 3.7-3.9.

I had two of them that exact same thing. Lead times on Spicer parts is rediculous.

Why did Ford deny warranty? Because a dealer didn’t install?

Genuinely curious as I’m looking to stick to the Ford Performance brand for warranty reasons for most mods.
They claimed I fried the unit because I didn't use their harness that they sell separately which is nothing special. I wired it just fine using an OEM pigtail, but they wouldn't help at all. I believe my supplier actually had to buy the unit from Dana as they don't have any part of the warranty. BUUUTT, I just happen to own a full blown differential shop and can easily replace this. If I didn't have access to a full shop with differential knowledge, this would have been a terrible experience.

Well, to add to the frustration, this magnet came with the pin welded into the wrong spot.. had to machine a pin and weld it into the correct spot.

BUUUTT, I just happen to own a full blown differential shop and can easily replace this. If I didn't have access to a full shop with differential knowledge, this would have been a terrible experience.
Dang I needed to meet you a few months ago when I was tearing into my rear end every 6 weeks!

I noticed the P/N you had was for the rear end coil (10102021).

The m210 coil p/n is 10137577 according to this. Looks like the only difference is the location of the pin... and the fact that I can't find any place that sells it.

Wow. That is very disappointing from the M210. Seems like QC is pretty lame.

I had one where I didn’t get the little plastic shim ring on the back of the coil, and that will cause them to blow for some reason.

I wonder if that's what's happening?? I remember reading your post about that now, I didn't check to see if that came on the new unit.

Just Wanted to update this. Broke A CV axle on the trail Saturday and since I had to tear it down for that, I decided to dive back in and replace the locker magnet AGAIN. This Time I made sure the isolator shim from the original was installed and made sure I put + to red coil wire. And She finally works!

New development. Friend brought better multi meter. Rear reads 4.2, front reads 0.00. Sweeeeett.
Damn. Now you have to fix the front and get a new meter
