Of all places for the AC to go out, Myrtle Beach, it blows warm. And a rain shower revealed a leaky hard top. This Bronco is 3100 miles in and at 1186 miles and has the passenger side lifter, rocker arms, broken unlubed oring around the fuel injector around 1800 miles (wouldn't crank, dumping fuel under the Bronco bad). Gonna be a miserable ride home Friday. Love the ride but very disgusted again.

Late last year my AC went out. Condenser failed. Dealer had it about 24 hours to R&R and recharge system. Been great since. Side note it spent last week at the dealer for cam phasers. 9k on the clock now

WOW! Don’t mean to hijack the thread, but cam phasers at 9K? That’s unheard of. They usually last to roughly 60K or thereabouts.

Everything except the cold air, there's a weird clicking sound the dealership I bought it from that did the lifter repair said its the high pressure fuel pump. The Ford dealer in myrtle beach that wanted to keep it all week for repairs (without a loaner) said the clicking didn't sound quite right to be the hp fuel pump. Its going back to the dealer I bought it from Friday when I get home. To be honest we've had this thing in the shop more than in our driveway.

I have and really hate the direction this is going. My lawyer said we have 24 months or 18k miles. My wife is waiting for the next break down. At 1165 miles it sat at the dealership 30 days with half the engine torn down.

@ lilblumule When my a/c seemed out, I ended up turning the the knob all the way past MAX AC, the orange light comes on, let that run a few mins and now Mine works at even low setting. For me, it was my actual knob was seated weird...Now, if u already tried that, then I don't know.

We have a 22 Big Bend and have had it in Ford service 3 times for the AC. Don't have the service tickets handy, but recall there was a valve leaking one time and they just replaced the evaporator.

We looked into the lemon law, but to get the features we want now, it seems we would be upgrading models and adding cost. Plus, there are no other issues.

We have a 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty on the AC, so will be running it in the winter to see if it is working.

Question for the B6G team - if there is an ongoing known problem with the AC, would Ford extend the warranty on the system?

Thanks all!

I had intermittent AC issues for the first year of ownership. I found a bad connection at the high pressure switch. I unplugged and plugged it back in and it's been working ever since...

Sorry that happened to you. It happens with Fords it seems (my mustang, friends mustang, my bronco). Use a pro-cal or scan tool to see what it is, mine was a sensor, and got lucky as I already brought it up, so they didnt fully bang me out on repairs
