Camping chair recommendations

Looking for recommendations for camping chairs to keep in the bronco. Would like to keep three either under the back seat (I never put it down) or attached to a molle panel. Any recommendations?

Have two of those tripod type chairs like you posted. But also keep a “Vagina Chair” in the rig for lounging/snoozing. Take up about the same about of space as a CLIQ chair but uber comfy.

I am curious for those who don't like the original cliq chair on their height and weight. Some chairs will be more comfy for some than others based on that. I really wish I could sit in one before I commit to purchasing it. I'm 6'2 with a relatively athletic build and am just curious on comfort for this body type. I'd love to keep one mounted in the bronco all the time, my current one takes up tons of room.

That I am less concerned with, but the amazon reviews are showing durability is NOT great. I might hit an REI to try the helinox stuff, I just don't want setup/tear down to be a pain, already feel like I deal with enough of that at camp.

Well then CLIQ might be the choice. REI brand, Helinox & Nemo all have similar setups. You have to 'assemble' them before you use them.

+1 for the cliq chair. The form factor cannot be beaten. I'm a big guy 6' 270 and its is sturdy and stable. As comfortable as any other camp chair, if not more. PLUS my 4 YrOld love its too.

I am thinking this and a Cliq might be a good intro to new chair styles lol. This thread has been super helpful.

I had some cheap hiking chairs that were comfortable but required setup, and eventually the blue dye started rubbing off.

I now keep these in all the time since they don’t take up any space and work anywhere. I have some more typical filing chairs for planned excu

I had something similar. You can't lean back in those. At least I couldn't.

Quoting myself to post my review of both a Cliq and a Coumy that tricky Mike recommended.

Speed wise the Cliq was faster, after 2 practice runs the Cliq is deployable in 30 seconds and packed up in 45.

The coumy was a 1 minute setup, 1:16 pack down including taking it out of and putting it back in the storage bag.

Comfort wise the coumy wins. The fabric sunk deeper and let my whole back be supported by the chair. With the Cliq my shoulder blades were landing above the top of the chair. I’m 6’2, 200lbs for reference.

Also stability wise I feel the coumy wins as well. I felt like anytime I moved in the Cliq it felt like the legs were walking or like shifting between each other. The coumy had a stable base both on even and uneven ground.

Price wise the coumy is the clear winner at $25 compared to the hefty $85 I got the Cliq for on prime day.

Needless to say for my uses I’ll get 3 coumys for the price of a Cliq.

I recommend a real camping chair, not some hiker orienter POS. I want arm rests sufficiently high back and ability to lounge in it in the evening before going to bed. Compactness is a distant secondary concern. I have a very old REI camp chair.
