That's what they claim to have paid APG to design and produce the tops as part of their distributor/partnership/circle hand pulling exercise . There's another $4.1mm involved? That's what they kept, I think according to APG's rebuttal letter.

I think there was also a price increase earlier this year? Which is funny/not funny, when you think about it, that the price of vapor has gone up. The circus comes to town with a clown show and I think that's less than $100?

On the amounts people paid, I assume (but it's a guess) that the top was originally a little more than $6k +shipping ($700?). So some might say $7k? Then the price increase (if I'm right), and some are probably rounding mid-$7k's up to $8k, or just saying a bigger number for reasons. I assume some of the people claiming they're out aren't actually involved. The internet, man.

Yes. When a sponsor no longer continues the financial support of the site (whether determined by themselves or the admin), the account's posting privileges are revoked. It in effect amounts to a "shadow ban".

I've advised others who might have an idea of selling (beyond the community marketplace) a product to create a separate handle so all posts/conversations regarding a product fall under that handle. Once the sponsor relationship ends, that account can not revert back to a private member's account.

This is not entirely accurate, as I used to be a paying supporting member for a little while and was listed as a sponsor and then realized I don't need to do that and had my account down graded back to a private members account

At this point, people should just show up at the shop in Costa Mesa, CA with pitchfork and fire.

IS ADV simply ghosting everyone and taking the money?

I remember reading on the original thread they were granting refunds on preorders.

I'd bet $4K on you being able to actually deliver, though. Only thing you haven't done that you said you would is the V8 conversion, and it's still in actual progress unlike ADV vaporware.

Small Claims limitations vary from state to state - some may be $7500 and others are $1500-2000, so that may not be the proper route for many. Start by doing as others suggested, file a complaint with your state's Attorney General's office for Consumer Affairs, the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau, write letters to your credit card companies or banks explaining the issue, providing copies of your statements where you were charged and any correspondence from ADV/APG. By Federal Law, when you order something the company is supposed to deliver within 30 days or provide an updated shipping date. This is also probably a fraud case which should provide more ammunition for your case with your bank. Send a demand letter to ADV/APG to cancel your order and refund your money within 30 days. If you are lucky your state AG may take up your case.
