I put this in my KRAKEN build thread, but thought I would post here as well for more visibilty.
Painted KRAKEN's roll bar with Plasti Dip; color "black & blue". Was planning to wrap the roll bar, but after a close inspection of the roll bar's many welds, spot welds, holes, & slots I decided to just Plasti Dip it. Was going to do it black and then I found the black & blue color which plays well with my stripes & rockers. I removed the roof latch plates, speakers, and window molle brackets and installed temporary screws in all the threaded holes. I did not remove any plastic panels and just taped & draped everything which was a big pain in the @ss, but I got it done. I used two cans of Plasti Dip and got 4 good coats with a little left for touch up. Wish I had another can for a couple more coats. If you do this, plan on needing three cans.

Nice. And seems like the "black & blue" color is a decent match for some of the other blackish parts, rather than a straight black. Looks like a satin or matte type of finish?

Looks great! I really like the Jeepers Creepers barn vibe, LOL!

Adhesion should be good... thorough cleaning with Isopropyl Alcohol/Water mix before application. This Plasti Dip does have a matte finish which goes well with my matte stripes/rockers.

That looks really good. Will give you good scratch protection without the eternal permanence of a bedliner coating. Nicely done!

I did the same a couple a weeks ago. But I also did the windshield frame as well (which needs another coat or 2). I had done the door jambs last year too and it gives it a much better look when the doors are off.

Got a pis of the jams? I'm considering that too

Yeah, the Bronco looks better with a darker or black roll bar as opposed to the body color - unless you got a black Bronc.

Looks great. I really want to convert my 2 door into a stubby Truck. Need to find a decent fiberglass person. Maybe someday!
