Spare tire rubber bumper

Not sure what to call this.. im sure it has been mentioned before, but is there a solution for this gap on this little rubber piece behind the spare time? I added on 0mm offset wheels and this rubber piece no longer holds the tire in place.

I did this and it worked perfectly. I’m pretty anal about not doing hokey fixes like this, but honestly it looks good, works great, and is cost efficient - no complaints!

I purchased some Dunlop ones - They’re all similar sizes, but the coloured dots on the balls signify thickness and size and are for different competitive skills. Honestly, shouldn’t matter for this use.

I think Ford also has their own solution/replacement part for this, or at least I remember seeing them posted on here before. Sorry I don't have the part numbers or more details, but hopefully someone else does

Thank you, do you think this provides much added benefit in terms of spare tire support or rattle reduction due to the added weight/size of the spare? Ive got a 20" spare with 37" tire on the back.

I did the lithium grease spray on all the spare tire bolts from the inside of the tailgate along with an additional weatherstrip at the top and i would say it took away 90%+ of the noise i was getting from the tailgate area.

I'd say it's an easy, cheap thing I'd install for sure. If you have a gap between your spare tire and bump stop, this will help with any movement.

Do you have a tailgate reinforcement bracket? I lubricated the weatherstripping on the rear glass, added these squash balls, and a reinforcement bracket and it's been great.
