I have scoured the forums for a similar issue called the ford service dept and can't find an answer. I noticed my windows don't drop before opening, its after the door opens they lower, but the window flops (lots of noise, lots of movement, flopping). When I first looked into this, I was at the dealership picking up a part and asked the sales manager. When he clicked unlock on the fob, the windows lowered.
  • The car was locked, by pressing unlock on the fob, the windows dropped 1" so opening the door, the window was free from the rubber seal (so no flopping, catching, or noise).
  • Mine doesn't do this. It isn't the same that others have spoken about in the forums, where holding down buttons and "resetting" the memory of the window resolves the window from going out and above the seal (that is not my issue I am seeing.)
I did see some posts about the 2024 models come with this fixed from the factory and that a software update is coming for everyone else. I did recently see in the forums and videos of people that were experiencing the issue, went to the dealership and got a software update, so now when they click the unlock button on the fob, the driver and passenger windows drop an 1" allowing them to enter the Bronco without issue.

I have an appointment at my dealership in 4 weeks, but not sure what to tell them about the issue. I called today and asked about the software update and they were unsure. The only TSB for my Bronco was an update for a windshield wiper motor.

How do I fix this?

Nothing to fix. Only very late '23 (sometime in Nov?) and newer have this feature. Ford MAY introduce this to older Broncos via OTA or TSB, but don't hold your breath. It is highly likely that the enthusiast will find the coding required long before Ford does any official update.
I can verify no later than Nov 17 as having the update as the Raptor I ordered had it as a '23 model.

Broncos built before 7/12/23 do not have this feature.
Ford is working on making it available to earlier builds, but it isn’t out for all of them yet.

It's nearly useless anyway if you have intelligent access as it only opens the windows when using the fob. Using the IA via the handle does not lower the window, verified by trying on the same Raptor mentioned above.

Thanks for the info!

This thread was informative about updating the DDM and PDM through Oasis at the dealership. Some have had it updated and work, you just have to explain slowwwly to the dealership what you were explaining it to a 4th grader.

I don't think this applies to 2 doors though.

Terminology is a little mixed up. The DDM/PDM updates are done using FDRS, not Oasis. May help them understand a little better.

My 2022 bronco had some warranty weatherstripping done and just had this update/recalibration done to the windows. The only reason I know was because they only recalibrated the passenger side. I had to turn around to have the driver side done. I’m
