Figured I would switch the coaxial to a midbass woofer, but don't see many options available. Any recommendations?

I have a Kicker KS there, but it's really not adding much to the front stage, which is why I decided to switch to a woofer to add some bass up front.Check out Fosgate, Audio control, Focal. Mostly run of the mill until you get into big money drivers. Just use a high quality coax or separate and ditch tweeter.
You won’t get much in that location. Good driver and lots of power.I have a Kicker KS there, but it's really not adding much to the front stage, which is why I decided to switch to a woofer to add some bass up front.
Curious about your kick panel speakers - just completed my upgrade with the exception of kick panel - mainly since everyone said upgrading kick panel without an amp would be fruitless...but looking at the memphis speakers you have also - with a 100db efficiency they have to do reasonably well using just he stock B&O amp. Do you have an amp or just using B&O?i have a pair of the Memphis MJP6's in there. I think it sounds good and definitely adds to the midrange. I have the B&O package, so I didn't do any bass blockers for the dash speakers, and I like it. I didn't bother upgrading my sub, so I think this keeps me happy enough that I don't feel I need to do that.
I am just using the stock B&O amp, with the stock subwoofer. I did add poly and kilmat to the sub enclosure, but never did the amp upgrade. I do think its a good middle-ground without doing the amp, so its worth a shot to see if you like it imho.Curious about your kick panel speakers - just completed my upgrade with the exception of kick panel - mainly since everyone said upgrading kick panel without an amp would be fruitless...but looking at the memphis speakers you have also - with a 100db efficiency they have to do reasonably well using just he stock B&O amp. That is what I did, 2-way component and just used the woofer and paired them with 4" 2-way in the dash. Sounds great with power from my 5 channel amp.You could just get a 2-way component set and only use the woofer. But if you go that route, the tweeter will be miles better than the stock 4" speaker so you might as well use that also. You will need more power to get any real performance from a 6.5" driver in the kick panel. And good, clean power. I would not try to drive a kick panel woofer with a Kicker Key or the B&O amp.

Yeah - I was afraid of this when I started down this path - yeah right, I'm just gonna replace some speakers --oooh look an amplifier, oooh look more speakers. So here I am looking at MJP6s for my kick panel now. LOL I'll report back when I'm done. On a side note with the system as is - I find myself looking for excuses to go for a ride - can't wait to hear it with the roof off, that'll be the real test.I am just using the stock B&O amp, with the stock subwoofer.
