MIC hard top surface now resembles the moon's surface

- Built on 6/23/2023, Delievered 7/4/2023
- 2200 miles on the odometer
- Sits in the garage all day, except for when I'm commuting, which takes about an hour roundtrip
- No product has been put on (no wax or anything)
- Never been taken off
- Never been hit by any falling objects like hail
- I've noticed it getting progressively worse each time I wash the car, which is about every two weeks.

Has anyone experienced this issue? If so, how did you resolve it with the dealership?
Do you think this is significant enough for them to take action?

Not sure, but if my hardtop ever starts to delaminate, I'll probably wait for a while before getting a replacement. The idea being maybe a year or two from now (while still under warranty), Ford/Webasto might have a better handle on these issues (one can hope). I don't want to get a replacement and have same thing occur as some here have encountered.

Almost all of them have this. It just can only be seen in certain lighting and at certain angles. Here is my top in different lighting and angles. You can see it severe to zero depending on the angle / lighting. Doesn't make it right, just very frustrating. I'm on my 4th top now.

Previous posters are correct. They all have this to some extent, and there is no reason to replace it and just get another one with the same issues. I will be taking mine in for replacement right before my warranty expires. Its just sitting in my garage anyways lol.

Yep. Original top and now onto my 3rd replacement. No issues with my dealer continuing to order them if not perfect.

Did they replace the two front panels above the driver and passenger seats as well? My passenger roof panel has the surface issue, along with the rubber seal not being seated properly, causing even more wind noise than it should.

No. Only my rear shell had the problem, so that was all I wanted replaced.

Dang sorry y’all! This is why Ford is not going to offer MIC tops from the parts catalog for those of us who took softies:

1) Any extras they can produce are going to warranty claims
2) they could not handle the volume of people getting replacements on parts department orders as well
3) they can’t handle the normal volume anyway haha

They already offer it. You can order a MIC top from any dealership.
I see about ~95 2 door tops available at a few different depots right now and 33 4 door tops.
