Anyone try this $19 light bar from Menards

I've used cheap chinesium lights from Amazon for years and never had an issue on Jeeps, trucks and utvs. Reliably provided extra light in off and on road conditions, and for me anyway never fogged. And as far as wiring, remember, LEDs really don't have much power draw so you don't need heavy wire like the old days and usually even a relay is overkill.

Unless you are doing actual high speed Baja racing or heavy duty rock crawling at night or are simply after the looks I disagree with this statement. I have had many trouble free years with offerings from LasFit, Nilite, and AuxBeam, at less than 25% of the cost of a Baja, KC, Oracle, etc. If all you need is to better see a trail while you are moving at 20-30mph the above are more than sufficient and will last a long time.

That is a fair point. Customer service from Baja is likely to be impeccable and reliability is going to be notably higher. Different people assign different value to that. One can argue that for non demanding weekend warrior use an LED bar going out is just an inconvenience - you still have the vehicle headlights.

If your looking for an inexpensive light bar. Try Nighlight. You can get them on amazon, they have kits that include the wiring harness, pods, bars etc. I've been using them for a while. I once had moisture build up inside the lense on a 20" bar, I emailed them to buy a new seal and they sent me a new light. Cant complain at all.

I believe you meant to say "Nilight".

This is pure fear mongering. The LEDs run off 12V and have a 10A breaker on them if you wired them correctly . Nothing is going up in flames. At least not due to the light bar.

If your looking for an inexpensive light bar. Try Nighlight. You can get them on amazon, they have kits that include the wiring harness, pods, bars etc. I've been using them for a while. I once had moisture build up inside the lense on a 20" bar, I emailed them to buy a new seal and they sent me a new light. Cant complain at all.

Funny you should mention Nilite, I just installed their flood pod lights, pretty bright and work great. Wired them to Aux 5&6.

More like Home Depot/Lowe’s. Mainly lumber, home improvement and hardware.
But, they do have some groceries so you can pick up some cans of chili or soup with your 10 sheets of drywall or 2x4’s.

Plus an auto section with misc do dads. Who knew that included off road lighting.

I'd be leery about a light bar that plugs into my cigarette lighter because of the size of the wire feeding it.

Edit: Maybe the lighter plug is just a switch?

The light bar doesn’t plug into the cigarette lighter. The remote switch uses the cigarette lighter to bluetooth control the light on and off

Just picked mine up today. Bought it just to see what they’re like. Hooked up really quick to see the light they project.

ceiling is about 17-18’. Not bad for a cheap light. Wiring has fuse and if I mount them I’ll swap in a switch instead of using the Bluetooth pairing part with the cigarette lighter Bluetooth switch.

Something like this, or a NiLight, work be great for general use for tractors, etc, or a work or camp light.
