I see nearly all hitches. including OEM, are not directly mounted to the frame rails. They are mounted to a smaller crossmember. Are there any aftermarket hitches that do attach to the primary frame rails?

Second this, plus it’s simple to install.I got a Curt aftermarket hitch, it suits me fine, I may occasionally tow a small trailer but mainly use it for bikes and very small stuff like that.
YesY'know, I want a rear winch. I know they use a brace, but I wonder if those are frame mounted?![]()
I'm not planning on exceeding 3500 lbs at all. I do want a more robust hitch receiver than my OEM hitch though, preferably frame mounted..
How can that one be rated for 675 lbs tongue weight when the OEM receiver is only 350 lbs tongue weight?I went with the Draw-Tite. It's extended (10") to allow for a bike rack so it doesn't hit the spare.
