This is the lot of the dealer I reserved ,ordered and bought my BL. They have from the get go added a $5K ADM on every abandoned or stock Bronco. That included the Braptors they have had. Everyone of these has the $5K ADM. I don’t know if they haggle the ADM or not, but they have been consistent. BTW, mine was sticker.( actually I got it for one dollar under sticker because I told them I wanted to be able I never paid sticker for a vehicle). My thought is why pay an ADM for a MY 23 when one can order a MY 24 exactly as desired and basically pay somewhere in the same ballpark. I realize you have to wait, but I think getting exactly what one wants hauls more weight.

Everyone has a different situation, different finances and different tolerances for wait, inconvenience, uncertainty and anxiety. What you think is absurd or unjustified or unfair to others is simply another spending how they want on what they want, when they want.
I agree. Some people have "screw you" money or make bad decisions for wants that could affect their immediate or future needs but many people buy on emotion. These people will justify the ADM. Why does it matter anyone else on here if you don't know that person? The Bronco is a "want". Ninety nine percent of people on here don't "need" a Bronco and even if you do, you can likely find a cheaper vehicle to accomplish that need.

Some of you should remember that a 5-10k markup on a 60K vehicle is still less than the Range Rover or 80k truck people are cross shopping, so in their own mind, they are still ahead even if the basic economics of a Bronco don't justify the 70-80k price tag. We are dealing with fun, emotion, pleasure or whatever motivation to obtain and drive a relatively unpractical vehicle.

I patiently waited 15 months for my order and received price protection thanks to an upright dealer. It wasn't worth it to me to pay more to get the vehicle sooner and not get exactly what I could order. If some person has enough money sitting around to pay 115K to instantly purchase a marked-up Braptor then "whatever", unless they are using some type of public assistance or tax cheat to get that vehicle. Hopefully that person is not sacrificing their family's needs, priorities or their retirement.

Pretty much summed up your entire post before you even got started !!!! LOL

Since folks are so against free market shenanigans, I'm sure they will sell me their houses for what they paid for them, right?
I mean, my "right" to affordable housing should certainly trump ones claim to a bargain price on what is essentially a toy vehicle, right?

How dare you try to make a profit on one of life's basic necessities .... shelter?
The horror.... the outrage!!!!

Nobody has taken me up on the offer to purchase their house at their cost yet. GREEDY BASTARDS!!!

For whatever it's worth, I paid either below or FAR below MSRP on both of my Broncos.
The housing example works pretty well, oddly enough, when it comes to housing people understand market economics, leave housing and people don't, or simply refuse to understand market economics.🤷‍♂️

Option A: Purchase a bronco

Option B: Purchase the same bronco, but pay an extra $5k for it

... You picked Option B

I mean if the shoe fits...
Find me Option A for under $50,000 in Florida or Georgia, please, also not a Big Bend or OBX or base, I could have had all of those at MSRP.

This is ADM we're talking about right? So this isn't a great Ford idea where they saw it thru to production or even selling your house for market value. ADM is the dealer inflating the price so this would be like you listing your house for $300k and the realtor tacking on a $100k market fee that they pocket when your house sells.

Just as when Ford produced the GT there was three things one had to establish before Ford would sell the vehicle to them. 1. Historical Ford customer track record. 2. Would not put the vehicle up for sale for two years. 3. Had the funding for the vehicles price tag. I had two out of three in the bag. That damn money thing got in the way once again.

Option A, if you don't care about color, trim or options then maybe you can find one at MSRP.

Option B, if you have the money, it's your money.

Option C, Order the Bronco you want. Have the color removed as is no longer available, remove options to get it built. Wait 2 or 3 three years and hopefully get price protection and special offers.

Option D. Order what you want, wait for a couple of years to have Ford cancel cancel your order. Lose price protection. Start back at Option A. Pay more than ADM was when you first ordered.

Waiting sounds like a great idea but you really don't know how much time you have to wait. Your friends will say, "He never got that Bronco he was always talking about. "

That's half ADM and half "Alaska tax".

That's pretty close to my exact build, and I shipped my vehicle twice and still paid less than buying from any shitbag Alaska dealer.

Well you know what they say:) ADM is opening a window and throwing your money out of it. You will never see it again.

I will never pay over sticker on any car there is no need to.

Huh? Anyone (even our government) who finances/mortgages (deficit spends) for ANY reason is adding to the money supply and causing inflation. I don’t believe it has anything to do with ADM.

Let’s imagine you have a great idea for a VERY desirable product. You successfully build and test a prototype. The product costs you $300 in total to build.

Should you sell that product for $360 (a 20% profit) if consumers will pay $600 to $900 for it? After all, it was your great idea, you did all the work and took all the risk. If this was you, do you think you would be being too greedy?
Yes

Nope, not the same at all.

1. The dealer owns the vehicle when they sell, a realtor doesn't.
2. Realtors often get into the market and buy properties they believe are undervalued. Same as flippers. Regardless, they take the risk and speak with their investment $. This is more like an ADM auto analogy.

Not true. So many false claims in this thread.

I'm paying ADM on my vehicle and I could flip it immediately for a handsome profit.

I said the same, but "never say never"...

A wonderful floor routine of mental gymnastics leading up to paying of an idiotic dealer markup is still stupid. Even if you feel you stuck the landing... with your face.
