I've got a garage full of big Jeeps, so the Bronco won't see much offroad duty, but it will pull our off-road trailer to some unique and hidden camp sites... That said, my wife said order it with Squatch or don't bother. SO we have a Squatch OBX and couldn't be happier.

You can beef it up... But unless you opted for the rear locker and got the gearing with it, I wouldn't go above 33's. Although the 33's on a stock Bronco do look good. Non Squatch Badlands for example. Forscan can fix the speedo, etc.

They are building them pretty quick now, put in a new order and get her what she wants!!!

Long as you check the rear locker box, you wont have any problems with gearing. You also wont have any problems offroad if you so choose to venture out. Don't let people upsell you on a SAS package as some great awesome thing. SAS is some shocks, an extra locker and 34" tires with the same wheels as half the bronco currently made.

Speedo calibration can be fixed with a laptop and less than $50.
I need to figure this one out as we just switched the wife's OBX to SAS Wheels & Tires...

I must be one of the rare ones, who thinks the SAS is a good value-tires are at least $2K for a set, add wheels, the lockers you get, the 4A you get, suspension upgrades-the look, resale, it was pretty easy for me to say-it's a no brainer.
Those tires are NOT $2000/set, more like $1275/set of 5 (before the $100 rebate for a set).

If you pay more than that for the original tires, then you didn't even bother to ask the dealer how much they cost.

As far as what the wife wants she gets posts... Are you all really afraid to just tell her, "No, we'd be wasting money on something that you are not going to use."? It's not like you are saying, "I'm sorry, but you just ain't worth it."

There are lots of reasons to get the sasquatch package, but fear of your spouse's reaction shouldn't be one of them. Resale value, capability that you may one day use, factory warranty on lift, etc are all legit reasons. Unless she can tell the difference between a sasquatch package and a non-sasquatch with rims/tires/and a leveling kit without the windowsticker; I would probably be telling her no.

She wants something that’s tough and aggressive; no idea why but she does and sounds like she’s thought it out.

So, smart thing to do is just get out of the way and let her do it.

Only getting your perspective here, but she may want you to be or look tougher or more aggressive. Maybe she’s been watching Yellowstone, but unless you want to experience a worst case, a smart husband would listen, pay attention, then act.

If it’s the use case that concerns you, then take the family wheeling in North Georgia mountains. Fun, beautiful to look at, great hiking and camping. With this Bronco there’s no excuse, since that’s what it’s for, so do it; see what you think.
This was my wife. Coming from the practical mommy SUV. She was tired of that shit, and was looking for something different that was bad ass and fun. Bronco fit, and checked all the boxes. Honestly, I gotta enjoy it too

Not necessarily! I have a bonified Carvana offer for my Base with base tires for $10,000 more than the MSRP I paid, and that is 14 months old and 8K miles.
So, are you agreeing or disagreeing with me. All I said was that he was going to get his money's worth out of the SAS package. Your post indicates that even without it he would. Base Broncos have been discontinued so they should go up in value.

that's great, but sometimes, the other person controls the budget and you're just providing asked for technical guidance

I got a BadSquatch, because that’s what I wanted and I could! This s the first new, not used car I have bought for myself since before I was married, she got all the others. I did buy a used ‘85 5.0 in ‘86 and had to get a license plate frame made “Dave wanted it, Christy got it”. It’s looking like I may have to find that frame n the garage and put it on the Bronco

Whatever you do, get it in writing. The marital units preference, that is.

There will be a kangaroo court later to interrogate you as a witness and a suspect. The judge is the prosecutor. Documentation won't matter in keeping you out of marital jail. But it'll give you something to clutch as you reap the reward of trying.

I hope my experience can help. I have a 2022 OBX. I too was on the fence about the Sasquatch, but I felt like I was getting a lot of things I didn't need, and I didn't particularly like those rims. So, I ordered it with stock wheels and had the dealer put on 33" BFG KO2's. 285 70 R17. I put Fuel black spoke rims on and a 1.25" leveling kit to raise the front end ever so slightly. Since the dealer does it there could be no finger pointing if anything rubbed or didn't fit right. The tires are 1" bigger and the rims are 1" smaller than what comes on the OBX. It totally changed the look of my truck. See before and after below.

The ride is still outstanding, and it is fun to drive. I go offroad way more than most people and the 33's have never let me down. One factor that often goes unnoticed is the height of the seat. the bigger the tires the harder it is to get in and out of. I am 6' 1" and I just barely slide into the driver seat without using a step. that was a huge factor for me and another reason why 35" tires weren't a good choice for me.

Love it!

When they want to roll harder, honestly its sexy to me, so hope you saw it that way with yours too.

Like you said, it’s also fun, so just better all around.

Wife’s a grown woman, so who are we to question what they want? Either way, we benefit as well.

Cheers bud! 🍻

I can afford it, why would I tell her no? You want her telling you no on something you want? I'm not afraid of anything, but if she wants something, she can have it, just like I can. And that's legit enough for me.

I Should have said, for KO2's I priced out-, to each his own, I would not have bought my OBX if it did not have the SAS package, that is the beauty of choices on this rig.
