Judging by the dimensions you provided, it seems like it'd be just a little too short. If it was just slightly taller, this would be perfect for holding a couple 50ah batteries to for a 100ah dual battery setup.

I guess those would be good if you need to air up and never have any stuff in the back of your vehicle. Otherwise unpacking just to be able to access the air compressor seems like a major PITA.

I would think you would mount this in the storage and run the outlet outside of the compartment somewhere. Then wire it to a switch and you wouldn’t have to access that compartment at all.

Do you know if this is designed to open the floor lid while operating the compressor? I saw someone using this box with a remote air outlet, so it stayed closed while running. I'd like to do this as well but I'm concerned about the operating temperatures in the box.

Not using this box but I did mount a compressor in that location. Outlets are in a couple locations.
