Yes- had the headlight switch on, push the fog light button and the fog lamp indicator lights up. Power at the harness. But every time I’d plug the lights in, it would lose power.

when you say lose power, do you mean it would not power up at all or powered up and went off right away?

If the lights are never coming on, then it’s either ground or faulty light harness connection. It doesn’t sound like its an issue with your Bronco wire Harness, coding, or factory fog switch. I am not familiar with the lights you have but as long as the light harness is going to the proper power and ground wire for the fog factory harness it should work.

Power will turn on and off appropriately with the switch with no lights plugged in. If you plug the lights in and hit the fogs switch, the lights don’t come on and if you check for power at the harness there is no power. Turn off switch, don’t connect lights, hit switch on- power.

Yeah..someone mentioned that there may be a setting for Fogs with DRL which would work for me I think.

I just want to be able to turn my factory fogs on anytime the Bronco is running, regardless of the headlight (like when off roading in the daytime)

Well that was a bust. Since I already have fog lights, the only thing in Forscan I need a tweak was fog with high beam, and fog with DRL.

Nether of these settings allowed me to turn the fogs on with the headlight switch set to "auto"

Anyone interested in the Brackets I made for my Fog Lights that mount on the MOD bumper? I can have them laser cut, bent, and powder coated.
Prob sell for $80 for a set maybe and that would include shipping.
Let me know if anyone is interested I will make a for sale post.

I posted this in the rear fog/chase lights thread https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...ase-light-using-factory-switch-harness.46382/ but thought I'd cross post here as well:

I have a Badlands, high trim with front fogs, puddle lights, etc. So I ordered the replacement front and rear fog switch M2DZ-11654-CC. This is the right switch to order for going fromBadands high/lux trim w/front fogs to front and rear fogs.

Swapping out the switch was a 5 minutes process.

Here are some pictures of the C424 connector for rear fogs and its location along with a few other details.

Lay under the rear driver side and look up in the bumper behind the rear driver tire for a small connector that is vertically oriented. In this picture, I've disconnected the body and bumper sides and inserted a EU2Z-14421-BA lead/connector (I bought a 5 pack as @nwGTS suggested here: https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-terminal-eu2z14421ba) into the body side of the C424 connector. (the lead is the fuzzy black thing coming across the pic)

Here it is slightly closer.
PXL_20230513_225017959.webp

I had a helper turn the rear fog button on and off while I tested the voltage to the body side connectors using the lead to the positive side of my voltmeter and grounding the voltmeter negative side to the frame. The third plug from the outside coming from the rear side of the connector is the right one to connect into.

I enabled/allowed three settings in Forscan:

IPC module- Rear Fog Light Indicator - changed from Disabled to Enabled
BdyCM module - Rear Fog Lamps - changed from Disabled to Enabled
BdyCM module - Using Rear Fog with Trailer - changed from Inhibited to Allowed

I'm running an 18-gauge wire from the modified bumper side of the connector up under the heat shield and into the rear compartment where it connects up to a Diode Dynamics Stage Series Reverse Light Kit which has a lead wire that connects into the factory harness.

Got everything hooked up and did all the forscan changes. Any possibility to be able to turn the fog lights on in the “auto headlight” setting when the headlights have NOT been turned on by the sensor?

As a follow up to my above post, here's a bit more detail on what I did to modify the bumper side of the C424 connector so that my rear Didode Dynamics ('fog' 'chase' 'backup') lights work with the push of the rear fog button on my M2DZ-11654-CC switch (while the headlights are on). I unplugged the connector, peeled back the wire harness tape on the bumper side, and noted that there are two wires running into the sealed end of the connector.

I used a drill bit to drill a hole in the back of the bumper side connector. I stepped up to a 7/64 bit for it to be large enough to get the EU2Z-14421-BA connector to fit through. In the process of figuring out the right size and getting the routing precise, I broke two of the five connectors in the kit and managed to break through the sheathing to expose the bare wiring on a 3rd connector. It's good that the kit came with 5 connectors, as I still have one spare. ;) I eventually remembered that I had some baling wire that I could work through the hole and into the correct pin location.

Now instead of two pins on the bumper side of the C424 connector I have three.
PXL_20230530_014937297.webp

I plugged the two sides of the C424 connector back together and tested the bare end of the EU2Z-14421-BA wire with my voltmeter to ensure power was passing through, indicating a good pin connection.

I add a bit of silicon to help seal the new wire, taped up the connector, and ran the new 18 gauge wire across the frame, under the heat shield behind the 10mm bolt on the driver side above the muffler. (Red line shows routing)

The wire runs into the same grommet as the diode dynamics wiring harness into the cargo space, under the rear plastic trim, and tucks into the same space as the diode dynamics harness on the rear passenger panel area. (This pic was before crimping and heat shrinking the connector)

Connected my Oracle Fogs this morning, using the DT 2-pin to MX150 pigtails.
So easy! Saved me having to do any splicing/soldering.
Few minutes with Forscan, and I'm all set.

Very old post, but why did you have to mess with Forscan? Is it because you added the fog light switch after the fact?

Asking because I had a plastic bumper with fogs (and factory fog light switch) and upgraded to the modular bumper.

Exactly. I had the Mod bumper and no fogs or figs switch beforehand.

That will only work if you have the sensors in your modular bumper.
I do. I had the high package, sensors, oem fogs, switch and harness. The fog light connectors are currently tucked into the mod bumper.
