I did this same procedure to get my rear fogs working with the new OEM switch M2DZ-11654-CC:
420fbe0e2c39050e6c01751c1976f2a5.jpg

...

However, I figured out how to open the connector and add the terminal. Thanks to @flip for helping with the parts.

You’ll need to remove this grey retainer clip with needle nose plyers.
IMG_6618.jpeg

Use a small flat head or pick to open the back plastic plate and slide it back on the wires. This will expose the weatherproof rubber plug.

Thanks to @FordOwner and @ksmich for the terminal info. Its Pin 3 the CLS37 (WH-BU) wire. The White - Blue wire...

Thanks to John @SPVPARTS for his help on how to wire it all and providing the pigtail needed. He was having trouble sourcing the Ford plug, to make this an easy plug-n-play setup, so we went this route. It plugs right into his short rear harness. Disregard the label though, as it’s for the American rear harness, which isn’t wired for the rear fog. I highly recommend John and @SPVPARTS if you have lighting needs or projects, he’s been super helpful!

You’ll need to use a small bit, I believe I used 3/32, to make a hole in the plastic plate. You’ll need to pull rubber plug back so you can see the terminal and insert the pin. Pay close attention to how you insert it, it will click into place when done properly. I used a small flathead and needle nose, be careful not to tear it… thread the pin/wire through the plate and 3rd hole in weatherproof plug.
Taking it to the next level! Awesome details!

Disregard the spaghetti wiring, but this is how the pigtail plugs in…

He thought he had a terminal pin that would work, and figured I’d try it, but it was slightly too large. I had to cut it off and soldered on the right one.

I added some heat shrink and tested the fit/function before I install the pin terminal in the plug. It all works!

Would the front/rear fog switch you referred to work on a 2023 Badlands with Lux/HD bumper? My ultimate plan is to tie front fogs (likely Diode SS3s) to the front fog witch and one day rear chase lights to the rear fog switch. I understand that may require some additional wiring to get the rear setup to work, but wanted to future proof as much as possible (rather than swapping to a front only fog switch now and swapping again to the duel switch later).

Okay..here’s my situation and I need to make a purchase from you guys. I have an OBX that came with plastic bumper and factory fog lights. I have a MOD bumper to install and I’d like to add plug and play street legal fog lights. What do you have available that plugs into existing wiring and uses factory fog light switch? Thank you!

I
Anyone interested in the Brackets I made for my Fog Lights that mount on the MOD bumper? I can have them laser cut, bent, and powder coated.
Prob sell for $80 for a set maybe and that would include shipping.
Let me know if anyone is interested I will make a for sale post.

What rear fogs are you using for the rear where you don't have to worry about blinding people? I know some Lexus and euro makes had some a few years ago but not sure of the current appropriate lumens. I don't live in snowy country but I do live in "can't see the end of your hood" fog country. I'm thinking a low output selective yellow, maybe even just a single with a white on the passenger side wired to reverse.

I’m using Diode Dynamics SS3 Sport in the rear, angled down slightly. I had to modify the brackets to use in my LOD bumper. They have the red backlight that comes on with parking lights, which is nice at night.

They only come on in reverse, and of course via the button, so I’m not really worried about blinding people as they’re not normally on. A warning flick may come into effect if I get a tailgater… lol They work great for camping, or a work light, and checking out the terrain behind me.

I wanted to setup something similar. I have the same lights with Amber backlight in my DV8 bumper (doesn’t allow me to angle - how’d you pull that off?). Was thinking backlight for rear fog - but, I want to be able to use the white/reverse light on demand. It came with a 3 way switch. But, still haven’t wired them up because I’m stumped on how I want to access them.

How’d you run the rear fog and running light to use the same wire?

ps. My knowledge of electrical is novice at best.

There is a bit of adjustability in the LOD bumper depending on the light bezels you buy with it, I used JLB1869, but I had a problem with the DD brackets fitting. I bought ones that allowed surface mount lights vs flush mount. The light tabs in the bumper surface mount bezels are angled on the sides, so the DD bracket wouldn’t sit flat, so I had to do some reshaping (had to shape them like a diamond) to get them to sit flat. I was able to slide them back/forward a little to allow some tilt. LOD bezels:

Mine come on in reverse and then manually using the light switch in my post. Check with John @SPVPARTS on the harness (or harnesses) you need For your setup. I spent some time and talked through it all with him Front to rear. He put together a cart with everything I needed and provided great customer support throughout.

I am completely dreaming here but how hard would it be to use the factory fog light button to turn the fogs on and off, and then use an aux switch to toggle between one set of fogs or the other? I need to sketch out an electrical diagram.

if you look at it from the Front of the truck.. Left side is the Passenger side... Just sayin.... ;) Also simplifies confusion when spotting a vehicle off road.. left/right may meen differnt things.. but passenger/driver is always consistent.. :)

Ford Bronco Factory Fog Light Switch IMG_7640
Hello all! Great thread but I am beyond struggling. I have the factory switch with the front and rear fog switch. I have followed all of the Forscan notes above, but cannot get any of the indicator lights to come on the dash, which I believe is the issue of the fog lights not working.

There were a few you have to enable, including rear fog instrument panel. Did you enable that one?

I have made some progress since my post by putting in the original as-built data and then changing it again. Good new is that the fog lights come on. The bad... the fog light indicator does not come up on the instrument panel.

Can someone tell me how they programmed their Front Fog and Rear Fog Instrument panel in ForScan? The spreadsheet isn't very clear. Want to make sure my interpretation is correct.
