Android Auto Coolwalk w/ Full Split Screen (Public Stable Release) Now Working in Bronco!

FWIW, I only got the 3.5.2 Powerup update from Ford last night. Who knows when I'll get the 3.5.3 update. I don't have the Coolwalk update from Google yet either

I got 3.5.2 yesterday, 3.5.3 today.... But AA remains at 8.5.624594 and it renders Waze unusable for me. Once a route is set, you lose all the UI when any page is swapped or resized. The map and route will continue, just cant interact with it. Bummer. I guess be careful what you wish for :/

That's a bummer. I use Waze as well, but have noticed it is subject to glitches. Especially when AA gets updated. Usually though, they'll push a Waze update shortly after. Google owns both anyway.

I downloaded the latest AA version on apk mirror beta 8.7.xxxx no problem and force updated phone. However, My Sync system has not updated from 3.5.2 yet tho? Even have hooked it to phone hotspot and home wifi. How do we force update that?

you can't force it .... if connected to your home wifi just leave your bronco auto updates on and schedule it .... i have mine set at every other day at 2 am.

Well I'll keep on keepin on. Honestly I think 3.5.2 is the first update I've even received and about 1 week ago. First update owning the thing since early October.

curious as to why your CarPlay is highlighted but the screen says powered by Android !! Also have you noticed any additional apps from your phone being loaded on the screen?

Because the box is an emulator...it fakes the bronco system into thinking its a apple car play.

Coolwalk looks like just an Android Auto update that came out Jan 5th.

This article goes over an option for clearing your Android Auto App cache to try and receive the update. If that doesn't work you can try side loading and this article goes over that as well.

The big update is available with version 8.6.6250 of Android Auto.

I checked my Android Auto and it has an older version with no note on update. I guess in time it will come (Google Pixel 6 Release 13)

A litany of bugs and issues were cleared up for me when I cleared the cache and data from Waze, Maps and YT music. Took a few seconds to log back into the google account for each app, nearly all the weirdness went away. Still have the 'For you' panel not refreshing, but meh, everything else is golden now.

I’ve received the updates. It works great and Google maps look fantastic on the Bronco in full screen. Just Noticed the update when I went for a drive this evening. Auto updates was turned on and connected to home wifi

I got 3.5.3 overnight. Pretty anticlimactic without the coolwalk update. The dual phone thing may come in handy though.

Got 3.5.3 a couple weeks ago, and got the 4 arrow resize icon in Sync. After waiting for Google to push the OTA, but never did, Today I and did a sideload of the January update on my Pixel 7 Pro, then updated Android Auto to 8.6.625054-release and voila! Still exactly the same in car experience. No rounded corners, no different than two weeks ago. I even tried using the BETA Android Auto APK, and still no Coolwalk.

There's gotta be something else involved outside of my powers to activate this (by Ford or Google), as I have all known pieces in place, and it's still not showing Coolwalk.

I was greeted by an updated Sync this morning, but it doesn't say the version. Full screen works now though, except for Coolwalk still doesn't.
