Heres my setup.
Clears top and speakers and is inside so less likely to get it stolen.
Utilitizes the factory holes in roll bar.

Anyone else not have these holes in thier roll cage? Starting to think about mounting it to the bolts for the roof across the back seat.

Well done! Are you still running this set up? Does the Jack mechanism rattle drive you crazy? Cheers.

Well this is interesting, I was gearing up to try out this mounting solution and the holes in my 23’ 2Door (rear roll cage near the speakers) are not threaded. Why would they be there if they’re not threaded?

(Edit: Unless you guys tapped them?)

My 2 door is the same. That is where the seatbelt attaches and they are not threaded. We do have threaded inserts on the sides of roll cage that would work if the top was off. I don't know if 4 doors have those.

Looking at the pictures, there is evidence of tapping the hole in shavings just underneath each mounting point. It would be a M10 1.5 pitch tap, and you'd need a right angle attachment, unless you want to remove the top to tap the hole (assuming the jack fits with the hardtop installed).

Jack is the 48" model, which I have. 60" Model is far too wide to fit in there.

I'm going to try this, this afternoon, but I'm concerned that the hardtop might interfere removal/mounting. If BigMeatsBronco sees this, please let us know if the hardtop fits to mount/dismount the jack.

I got a cheap Chinese one on Amazon and re-drilled the holes for my Turn carrier. It's not as nice as Orions (that one is awesome), but it sits a bit more center line.
