Not anymore.

I've burned up 4 of them in the last 10 years.

I'm currently experimenting with a Superwinch on a JCR mount on my Bronco. Haven't had it long and used it enough to give a real opinion though.

I replaced one of the Warns on the F550 with a Sherpa 4x4 and so far, it's performed well.

The F350 got a Comeup that has also outperformed any of the Warns.

There is someone else in the crew who blew up a Warn and replaced it with a Badlands and seems happy so far.
Warn still says limited lifetime warranty 7 year electrical... I guess I don't know what the limited warranty means

In their defense, they did warranty them.

However, that doesn't do me any good when a gearset grenades itself in the backwoods.

Reliability matters more than a warranty.

For what it's worth I installed a rough country hidden winch on my base with the stock bumper. It's designed to go with the capable bumper as well and it bolts directly to the frame in a way that it exerts force evenly on both sides of the frame. It's wired directly to the battery and it's only "live" when I plug in the controller... since you have to be out of the truck to use it anyway, what's the point in wiring it to the aux switches?
