Why do threads turn so salty so quickly?

Oh, what a delightful read! I can practically hear the eye rolls from here. So, it seems the temperature isn't the only thing heating up lately; the drama is hotter than a summer barbecue! Who knew that a little online banter could stir up more tension than a family reunion?

I mean, really, some folks are so full of themselves (and let’s be honest, a little bit of other stuff) that it’s like walking on eggshells! You’d better toe the line, or they’ll swoop in like internet hawks ready to claim the post as their territory.

But hey, who cares about those keyboard warriors hiding behind their screens? Just keep doing your thing and posting away!

If I can sift through the nonsense and still share my thoughts, so can you! There are plenty of folks out there who appreciate the gems hidden between the bullies' rants.

So, keep waving at Broncos and Jeeps, flash them the middle finger, to the trolls on here, and let that creativity flow!

Quite a simple answer for this one.... People are a--holes. It's been that way since before the Bronco was officially released. Some have gone, some forced out, but new ones always show up. Good old keyboard warriors, no repercussions for their actions. It's just what you get in a forum. Sometimes it's better to walk away.

I would say I was a little "Salty" this week towards @JTBros which honestly wasn't directed at him/her personally. Sometimes I really get annoyed when people post stuff and never provide all the required details. Maybe this is due to the fact that I work in IT and this same scenario occurs numerous times every day. I can't tell you how many times we have developers reach out and all they provide is "My computer is broke" and that is it.

Reminds me of 20+ years ago during my fraternity days, or any other group of people I’ve been a part of that share a common interest. You’ve got the wise, the nerd, the arrogant, the grouchy, the nice guy, the know-it-all, and the new guy/gal. We’ve all been there and there is always banter. Roll with it or ignore it. This has been a great forum with great information and great entertainment.

I definitely used to be more guilty of this. As I've gotten older, I take an extra second to read before hitting send & honestly end up deleting 90% of my snarky replies.

I will agree though that if there's a thread that already answers your question & you start a new thread, you should be get the internet forum equivalent of vegetables being thrown at you in the public square.

If you find the thread about your problem, read it, comprehend it, still have a question & ask it in that thread, you're probably a decent person & I will go to bat for you...
