I have 2023 Raptor and it just needs more power! Almost went for the Whipple tune, but I'm just not keen on flashing the ECU with a device I can't easily revert to stock. Now looking at JB4 and VRTuned piggyback options. Warranty not really a concern and I would still go Whipple (especially sorting out the Sport mode transmission shifting) if it offered significantly more power.

Any thoughts or experience of what works best so far?

Just got a 5star tune at Texas Raptor Run! I don’t really do YouTube videos but I plan on making one explaining how much I love it

I've been calling ford performance almost every month for 2 years now asking when they'll release the BR tune and still nothing. My patience is just about at an end.
I've called and talked to livernois, 5star, and whipple and a few others. All will require you to buy a new unlocked ecu, the only exception is whipple. whipple is the only one who doesn't require a new ECU. Admittedly, they're not the highest gains, but I'm ok with a mere 60 hp gain, especially for less than half of the price of the others. I'm planning to keep the truck long term and don't want to it push it too hard so thats a concereration as well. A little extra power and better shifting for $950? I think I'm finally ready to pull the trigger.....

The power increase does not seem to be much / any more than Whipple on 93 and is $500 more for the kit so this one does not make sense for me. It's the wife's daily so E30 / E50 is not really practical to get the extra power.

The JB4 and VRTuned looked interesting but just seem to be turning the boost up on the turbo.

Other tuners need the unlocked ECU. So, by process of elimination it seems Whipple is the best option for me, I just don't like the lack of saving the stock file and the price feels a little higher than it should be.

Understandable, it's all personal preference.
You don't need to get an ethanol tune if it isn't practical for you.
On 93 Whipple typically gains 50rwhp, ZFG gains 130rwhp which is over 150% more
So even with the additional cost, it's still realistically the best hp/money ratio
