Sorry, I mean the blue connection. Is that a ground?

Annnnd this is why I don't buy used vehicles anymore.

In a 12v system, a black cable 'typically' denotes a ground connection. It's best to refer to documentation of the device to check for certain, or test it yourself.

By the way that is set, it looks to be a ground. By gauge and connector.

But yes, give it a test.

Its the ground for the plug n play kits. Do yourself a favor before you put it on a bolt to ground and check that the crimp is snug. Mine came out.

Yep. That's the ground. I'm curious where/how you have (or are going to) routed the power feed to the terminal in the engine compartment.

I just got the current kit from PlugNPlay and will be installing it soon.

The power was routed from the glove box area through the center console area to a plug in the firewall. If you look too left in the driver's side you'll see the knock out grommet to the firewall. I cut a small hole through the knock out grommet using a razor knife.

A couple tips
I realized I could have routed the wires through the center console and between an ac duct instead of under the glove box (photo with my hand)

It helped to route my amp wires over the black bracket in the glove box.

when you're putting the amp in to the slot, lay on your back and push one side up through first

Really, a clean install if you do it right .

I couldn't use that big grommet - that's where my clutch passes through the firewall 🤷‍♀️. I had to use the smaller one further up and to the left of the clutch pedal mechanism.

Where did you end up putting the ground wire behind the glove box?
