I would say that rattleing isn't 100% preventable. In my opinion the Soft top Bronco has built in rattles. My sub box doesn't rattle but the tailgate does from time to time going over heavy bumps.
If you are dead set on no rattles, ya might want to keep it stock. Sorry.
In my case, it wasn't buy the box then the amp, it was the other way around. I am just saving someone following my path some aggravation.
A Kicker 500.1 needs two speakers to utilize the 500W RMS. I had a KICKER TRTP 12-inch 2-Ohm (claimed 1000W) Enclosure. I didn't like it laying in my trunk...
As for size, plenty of air volume. It was specifically built for these speakers, including the JL specific grill design. As for downfiring, I guess you could, but if I was going that route, I would have built something that covered the entire floor of the bronco. He makes another specific...
I get it, I thought about going with the JL Audio stealthbox, but
a) availability and cost (my current set up is cheaper than that box with 2x the sound)
b) I have a Kicker 500.1 and to get 500 out of it, you have to have two speakers.
c) You can't fit two speakers in the rear panel
d)...
I do have mesh on them. I like the sound, but tailgate boxes are heavy. I had a down fire on the floor, but then you have to bolt it down too . I could cover the entire rear floor, but then it would sit higher than the back seats when folded down. There really is no "ideal" for anyone wanting...
I ordered ORDER #6887
2020 And UP BRONCO / BRONCO SPORT NON Amplified Radio Plug 'n Play Audio Harnesses: Kits × 1
Do I need this harness kit adapter or did I order after these changes were made? What are my next steps?
Thanks,
When I purchased in March, I bought a base with about 10k in addons. (Wheels/Tires, Graphics, Katskin Leather, running boards, blackout script, blackout grille, lift kit.)
I had a 829 credit score and a letter from my GTE FCU. They said they couldn't finance the car through my credit union...
Lol, no. I was an automotive tech in 2007, and it was pretty bad then. Although it looked a little different, people were outright not bringing cars in for work. The dealership was letting people go left and right because there was no work. Now, there parts availability is abysmal (in all...
I'll be honest, my GM dealer was the reason I sold my Chevy Colorado and upgraded to a Ford Bronco. GM service was terrible the last 4 or 5 times through the pandemic and up until about 3 months ago. So now, I called up the dealer, well in advance (Brandon Ford Florida), and asked them for a...

I bought my base at $51k. It had about 10k value of add-ons. LIft kit, 35" Tires and Fuel Wheels, Tint, Ford Side Steps, graphics on side and hood, Katskin leather interior.
I figure, I got my base at about 5k over MSRP in December of 2022. I liked the car, everyone was waiting for theirs. If...
So on my journey to installation:
I should have done it myself. I have tried two installers and both do a worse job than I would have. They don't even tie strap their cables. This last one left his 8mm Matco socket behind my right rear quarter panel. While I was in there I noticed he broke two...
