What to do?

Just purchased a 2023 Outerbanks. Going to be used as an extra vehicle and wrapped for my business, so will not be doing any sort of big time off-roading. At the most it will be run down some of the gravel roads at LBL. Would like to add small lift to fit the typical bigger tires/beef up the look of the vehicle. I have read countless articles and opinions, but I think I am more confused now than when I started. Any help would be appreciated.

If not, I would add the Sasquatch Coil Overs and 35" tires with optional wheels. This alone will transform your Bronco, not be too expensive and easily installed.

That’s a great question. An OBX with Sasquatch has 35s. Good to go, call it a day. If you’re not off roading, there is no need for anything larger.

You could run 285/70-18 tires (about 34") on the stock OBX rims without adding or altering anything else, and it would look much better than the originals...

Should have included that info, it does not have SAS option.

If you add the SAS coilovers do you have to change anything else?

Called 4wp today and he suggested the spacer lift, but I have read so many conflicting things on that.

Would you try and buy those used, or is there another place to purchase them new?

I'm surprised no one's answered and I'm far from the most schooled here. I'm taking it that you're not squatched or you probably would not have posted. You can add a spring perch kit to give you a couple inch lift, that'll be enough to fit a bigger wheel/tire package and not have to upgrade anything else if all you're going for is show.

Majority of what you see on dealer lots with beefed up wheels and inflated ADMs is nothing but a spacer kit on a stripper Big Bend to give the look to a stock unit. From what I've read to it's got pros and cons and I wouldn't tackle anything serious with that setup but it will give you the look.

If you want a little substance with the look search Bilstein 5100, Ford Performance offers a kit as well so you'd keep your warranty but it's going to cost more than a few hundred dollars.

I looked at one pretty local they wanted 7k over on an outerbanks setup exactly like that. I just refuse to pay over for anything, so I found one in KS sitting stock, but at msrp.

Check the marketplace for Squatch (not SAS unless you are planning a Solid Axle Swap) or BL take-off coil-overs. You can probably find them local for a good price. Find some wheels you like, or, again, take-offs from the market place. Wide flares optional.

Skip the spacer or perch collars lift if you can.

If stock 3.73 gearing you may want to limit yourself to 33's. If it has the optional 4.27 gearing then 35's will be fine.

Im almost certain you can find sas suspension on the marketplace. I know I have read several posts about conversions, DIY Non-Sas to Sas conversions. That would be an inexpensive option that would also give you true suspension upgrade. If you want to go even cheaper then something like a 2" spacer lift is even cheaper. But that would retain your current suspension and basically add a hockey puck to the top of your suspension. Also no one mentioned this but are you trying to retain the factory warranty and did you purchase a extended warranty? Because changes like this could void your warranty...or I should say your dealer could use it against upholding the warranty if something happens to the suspension after a mod.

I will give that a shot and see what I can find going that route. I didn't purchase an extended warranty. Typically keep vehicles about 2 years. I know anything can happen, but would hope nothing to serious would go wrong in that time period.

As others have noted, check the Marketplace.

Look for a Sasquatch suspension from a Bronco that is like yours. Coil Overs from a 4-Door, V6 for example.

If you have a 2-Door, I actually have a set for sale.

Great answer - I'm interested in sas takeoffs one day too. Will probably justify it when I make the last payment. Hopefully the takeoff market will have better inventory with more Broncos on the road.
