I just bought a wild track and there’s this random cord running across the dashboard. Can anybody tell me what it’s for???? the people at the dealership didn’t even know……

It’s an ethernet cable plug your laptop into it.

But in my opinion, someone that probably waited months if not years to get it, obviously took the time to modify it as if they were going to keep it, then turns around and sells it before the 1st oil change...well sounds like a lemon in the making.

Or someone paid a premium to get one right away, then realized that even though they spent $65K, it's not a luxury vehicle. People who have the means trade vehicles all the time for no "logical" reason. Knew a guy who routinely traded in his vehicles before the 30 day tags expired. No reason to try to rain on someone's parade without anything useful to say.

That's crazy! Just bought a 2023 Wildtrak with 4,000 miles last week! They are everywhere!
I didn't get the optional RJ11/45 cable though. That's it, I'm taking it back.

Looks like it’s a telephone line connector.

That's an RJ-11 jack used for many data applications and old Ma-Ball home phones.

The more I look at it I think you are right.

Such speculation…I bought a 2 door with 2,300 miles. 16,000 miles later, zero issues. Owner told me straight up that is just wasn’t what he thought it would be. But for me, it’s been way more than I expected.
