The 7 GOAT modes on the 2026 Badlands are:

Normal - Balanced throttle response and standard traction control. Everyday driving on dry pavement.

Eco - Reduces throttle sensitivity and promotes fuel efficiency with early upshifts. Long highway stretches and light commuting.

Sport - Sharper throttle response and holds gears longer for a more dynamic driving experience. Spirited driving and quick maneuvers.

Slippery - Adjusts throttle and traction control for better handling on wet or slick surfaces. Snow, ice, and wet roads.

Off-Road - Raises stability control thresholds and adjusts torque split for uneven terrain. Dirt trails, loose gravel, and rutted paths.

Rock Crawl - Optimized for low-speed, technical driving with maximum traction and control. Navigating over rocks and steep inclines.

Baja - Designed for high-speed desert driving with fast throttle response and relaxed traction settings. Open desert and fast off-road conditions.

I thought the Badlands does not come with sport mode...

2026 may come with Sport mode. Previous years did not, but some people are adding it using FORScan.

Mine came with Rock Crawl which is not listed in motareso's list.

I just removed ECO mode from mine. I have a manual so it didn't do anything useful.

FYI... ECO mode and Sport mode live at the same address and appear to share a bit. So I'm not sure how compatible they are. Just because something displays doesn't mean it works as Ford intended once you start messing with things.

The spreadsheets, and FORScan show data in hexidecimal format. I broke it down to binary to see what was going on at the relevant address. All Badlands Broncos probably have the same As Built settings as I did. You'll see that the bit that gets cleared (set to 0) when removing ECO mode gets set to 1 when adding Sport mode. This may explain problems some are reporting when trying to set all eight G.O.A.T. modes.

I'm only showing the first two letters/numbers. The last two are a check sum that gets set by FORScan so I didn't show the binary values.

Ford Bronco what GOAT modes are there ? Sport:ECO GOAT modes

edit: I've been thinking a bit more. It could be the true setting for Sport mode without ECO is x3-- (0011) and not xB-- (1011). The B is there because the same address also controls ECO mode. I may explore this later if I get the time. All the other modes seem to need just one bit set to activate them. It would be odd for Sport mode to need two different bits set.

My ‘26 BL came with sport mode. No FORScan needed.
It would be interesting to see the settings for 760-04-03. I'd like to see how Ford got ECO mode and Sport mode to coexist.

They're doing weird things with the WT these days (e.g. add it onto a BL for a while as a package??), but originally the WT had Sport and no Rock Crawl and the BL had Rock Crawl and no Sport, which fits the expected usage for their suspension. I think Stroppe and First Editions had all modes?

I seem to only use two modes:
Engine On
Engine Off

The dial is mostly there as a place to put the button for 4Lo
G.O.A.T. modes tend to confuse me. I prefer the HERO switches, plain and simple and I don't need a program to understand them. Each one explains what it does.

I use both, I sometimes like the way mud and ruts will hold a gear if I am not shifting manually. I like rock crawl because it seems to change throttle response. On the other hand, sometimes I want both of these modes, but I want it to act the way it does as far as engine and trans when I run it normal. In other words, I enjoy the gimmick, but it is not needed.

Mud/Ruts mode, according to Ford, for 2026 MY Bronco got lumped into Off-Road mode and additionally replaces Sand mode. Off-Road Mode was developed to enhance capabilities when driving on sand, loose gravel, mud, or mixed terrain. Personally haven't seen how Off-Road mode works in comparison to Mud/Ruts yet so not sure if it engages the four-wheel drive lock.
