Wouldn't be possible.
If you have the stock bumper it's easy to pull alone. Aftermarket or winch installed is a little more of a pain. But still necessary.

I have the Fab Fours Premium Winch Bumper with a winch attached and I really didn't want to take it off. I figured I would try to install with out removing my bumper. I can't speak to any other bumper, but I was able to install it without pulling off my bumper.

This intercooler really worked out for me. I started looking at high mount intercoolers as I was getting the orange check engine light and codes P007B/P0096. From my research and based on the codes I was getting, it seemed the air flow to the stock intercooler was restricted due to my aftermarket bumper. After installing this intercooler and driving the Bronco for roughly 50 miles the check engine light went away...problem solved.

What size rivnuts are needed? Also I live in CA so when you say not carb compliant what does that mean exactly? It’s just a bigger better intercooler so why would this matter?
Sorry I missed this one. CARB compliant means CA doesn't feel this meets their California Air Resources Board (CARB) Standards and therefore does not allow it to be sold or installed on a vehicle ment for highway use. I bought mine from Summit Racing and picked it up in Sparks, NV since I don't live far from there. You can also order it online from them but you will have to check a box stating that it will not be installed on a vehicle used on the highway. I am not sure how it will affect getting your vehicle smogged in CA.

There doesn't seem to be much info out there about this intercooler. I guess it's a fairly new product.

https://www.wagner-tuning.com/produ...-fuer-ford-bronco-2-7-ecoboost-200001200.html

This won't be a step by step, or very scientific as far as the results. Sorry I'm lazy.. 😬

My main reason for doing this is to add a hidden winch. I may write that post up one day, we'll see.

Biggest issue is that it didn't come with any instructions so I had to figure out how to make it work with what they sent. The manufacturer was unable to provide them as well. I heard from the supplier I bought it from that Wagner is working on an install video.

Main things to know is that I had to buy a rivnut install tool ($9 at Advance Auto). And I also had to remove the grill shutters and cut some of the plastic in the back of the support to make room.

Only thing I would improve on (other than including instructions) is that the hose fasteners are just standard hose clamps. I may upgrade to stronger ones from Mishimoto or similar.

As far as temps after the install everything has been great. No issues, including the a/c still working great even when not moving.

The hoses were a bit of a head scratcher. They didn't quite line up for me, and there was an extra quick connect type of piece that I didn't use. I assume this is because it's meant to work with either the 2.3 or 2.7. I have the 2.3. I was able to modify them very easily to work for me.

An added bonus is that my stock intercooler was half plugged up from all the mud I tend to dive into.

I missed this thread when first posted. looks like this mod would really expand winch options.

What did you end up doing for the winch?

I cobbled together my own hidden winch using the cradle from the RC Hidden winch. I don't like their skid plate or how low everything sits. I can send you more info, but this is basically it.

So in short I cut the side brackets for the RC cradle and mounted the bottom holes of the tray to the top holes of the brackets.
I used some of the cut off brackets and the nuts with the little handle to support the bottom.

The plate across the front was I believe 4"x3" x 3/8" aluminum angle. I would have preferred 2"x5", but this is what was available locally.

Also due to the angle I mounted the lower part of a roller fairlead to the backside of the plate.

The pics are always out of order.

Thanks, looking at the pictures from your intercooler relocation I thought you could do essentially what you did. Then I looked for a thread you may have posted on how you did the winch. Found your thread selling of extra winch mount parts so figured you did something.

I really don't like how low the typical hidden winch is. Your solution looks fantastic.

Now I'll have to decide if I want to spend the money and implement a similar solution.

Thanks! I really like it.
Yeah I don't have a stand alone thread for the winch. I really should do one.

I lucked out and got a scratch and dent RC kit off ebay for around $140. It ended up just being an open box situation without any issues.

I did a similar modification that GI_Joe_Nathan did above, but I had to get more creative due to having a 2.7 and ACC sensor (that cannot be relocated now due to the Wagner FMIC occupying where it would go).

Let me dig up my pictures and post some on here....I should probably put together a build thread as well 😵💫.

So, I relocated the trans cooler following part of the RC instructions (O actually did the whole process then went to fit the Winch and it interfered, so I deviated and moved it around til I was happy).

The RC bracket, I cut it as short as I could that would allow the winch to fit without hitting the Radiator or Intercooler, bolted it together and welded it for more strength. I them cut the fairlead mount out of the RC skid plate and welded it into the Modular bumper underneath the ACC sensor.

Happy to explain further if anyone has questions!

Thank you for the photos of the charge tubes tweaks for the 2.3L.

I just installed on a 2.3L. It would behove Wagner to make a mandrel dedicated to forming hoses for the 2.3. that fit better. The ‘multi-fit 2.7 & 2.3’ hoses have marginal to crummy angles for the 2.3.

Initially I wanted one of these to install a winch between the frame rails, but the more I thought about it, the more I decided I preferred being able to remove the winch when on DD duty.

Guy math: I had some money on a gift card burning a hole in my pocket so I decided to grab one before the tariffs drive up the cost any further.

More Guy math: I plan to couple the install with modifying my bumper to allow the use of the Maximus 3 removable winch mount I bought earlier in the summer. Since the bumper will already be off, it will be saving me the time of pulling the bumper and while it is off I will be able to install the wiring harness for the bumper mount spot lights I got for Christmas, then I can install the ditch lights and chase lights I got for my birthday. If I have the wiring harness I can then install the light bar that I had bought a couple years ago that I never installed because I had failed to select the upfitter switches when I place my order. So in effect I can use this one mod to force me into finally installing other mods I had been dragging my heels on.
