That’s true. Being a novice, like I said, I’ll probably be fine for now. May plan to re-gear after the first year or so but I’ve got a daily driver so this won’t be hitting the streets every single day anyways.

To me, the power was honestly totally fine. 10 years ago most cars had less get-up and go than the bronco with the 3.73s and 35s

Is it to late to cancel/return the RC lift? If so I’d do that and go with zone/BDS. They offer extended powertrain coverage with certain lifts If your really worried about it.

Unless they have changed it the bds/zone lifts didn’t address the track bar? (On Rear axle) at all. One or the other didn’t even include a arms early on and where triple the price.

No it was a 4.0 with the 5 speed. SUCKED on the highway lol. I have an older CTS-V as well so I don't need the Bronco for any speed purposes

still 100HP difference lol I’m not sure on torque numbers.

Main reason I got the BB was for what I could afford. I think ideal was OBX but with BB I still get some creature comforts and it’s at a price I like with what I added on.

I’m currently waiting on my 4 Dr Big Bend non-sas and had a curious question if anyone can answer. I went ahead and ordered some rims, 35” tires and the RC 3.5” lift to install once it arrives. My question to anyone with a similar aftermarket set up is this… did you have any concerns about voiding your warranty with the aftermarket parts since you installed soon after the purchase? And how long did you wait before installing aftermarket lift and tires? I’m debating driving it stock anywhere from 1 week to 1 month before putting the parts on it. Any help is appreciated!

I went through my dealer whom uses a third party company for small modifications. I am getting a 2.5' level kit, 17' method wheels, 35" tires, and the 4wp bumper. All of this is covered under the manufacturer 3year 36K warranty. Grand total was just shy of $6500 for everything. I did find another outfitter but was not that much cheaper. In the end I feel better having everything covered under the dealer warranty.

What's wrong with scripts and bronze wheels? People aren't allowed to do whatever they want to their own cars now?

I am pretty sure that the script will void the engine warranty.

do the 35s no lift they fit fine...in a year or so when any possible imperfections would have caused a failure , then install lift. 35s work fine with base 3;73...unless your hard core which you said you were not..

Legally, you can’t “void” a warranty by installing aftermarket parts just by virtue of installing them. This is protected under the Magnussen Moss act in the US.

However, if something fails after you install a mod, and the dealer/Ford can prove the mod contributed to the failure, then that repair will not be covered under warranty.

A lift is risky simply because it’s pretty easy for a dealership to say “no, your mods caused this failure” when anything suspension, drivetrain, or steering related fails. You’ve changed the geometry of the driveline, and that can easily cause extra wear on all those components.

Correct. The dealer has to prove it. But they can say no, and then you would have to file suit, this is where the manufacturer would have to to prove it. It gets costly fast when in litigation.

Wife and I take a trip to Moab and break the ring and pinion and steering rack with my 35’ tires an non squatch build

take it to Moab ford

Let’s be honest here. You should have got the Base Sasquatch and left it alone, or ponied up for Sasquatch package on the Big Bend.

While I’m at it, I’ll urge you to not get bronze wheels and don’t stick scripts on there, either.

I don’t think you can source the scripts any longer. Broncodepotusa.com, for example, has been shut down. I understand Ford clamped down on them. The scripts may actually prove to be rarer than any other emblem.

The reality is how deep are your pockets and how long can you fight Ford?

Here's an analogy. You owned a company and you create a product. You have many customers who buy the product and are happy BUT then one day you have a customer filing a warranty claim because some aspects of that product has broken. Upon inspection, it is clear that the product has been tampered with and thus no longer function within the original design specs.

Having your dealer install the lift may help as long as they are the dealer doing the warranty work. If you happen to be out of town and need warranty work that all goes out the window. Bottom line, you got to pay to play.

Gosh. Seems to me that after you buy the aftermarket wheels, tires, and RC lift (not recommended by most who know about lifts), and install costs - you would have been better off upgrading to the Sasquatch for probably less money and FOR SURE a better suspension.

But I'm sure you had your reasons, and I respect that.
