Well, I thought I was covered by the extended warranty. Shame on me for not reading the fine print. But considering this is not wear and tear and a design flaw from the factory, I figured they might step up and cover the repair for a loyal customer.

Extended warranty isn’t a bumper to bumper coverage. Has nothing to do with wear and tear, they just don’t cover everything.

Below is a link to the current 2024 TSB. There's a little more to it than the original one (a little snip off the trim panel, a rubber coated nut, etc.).

One extra tip not in the TSB is to put a little butyl caulk or DumDum around the clips to keep them from rattling. And yeah, the white Amazon Chinesium clips are virtually the same as the more expensive Ford blue ones.
