Anyone know of one within 500 miles or so of Colorado Springs? The local dealers in town are morons and I would not trust them to add gas to my Bronco much less change the transmission.

Clearly something going wrong--a heavy whine that increases with speed, frequently stuck in a lower gear and will not upshift with 18K on the clock.

Started at less than 10K and getting worse. I have the 6 year 100K premium warranty so this should not be this hard

Hell, at this point, I would tip the mechanic $500 under the table to change the effing thing under warranty.

The transmission issues I have are the thing that would force me to dump it and I REALLY like my Wildtrak.

So sorry to hear. And the crappy "luck" happens to someone like you who takes absolutely the best care of their rig. Good luck and keep us posted.

Carbon, my apologies if I missed it along the way, but have you dropped the pan yet and checked the filter? You saw what mine was like at just 4k miles on the other thread. Wondering if yours is suffering from break-in crud gumming up a solenoid or two? Looking at YouTube videos of trans fluid changes on the 10r60/80/140, all at nearly 50k-ish miles, their filters don't look too much different than what mine looked like at just 4k miles. Pretty clear to me the crud comes early during break-in and then likely just sits in the fluid until eventually changed.

With a potential warranty claim on the horizon, I have not touched it. I keep hoping it will just hose up, but then again, the local yahoos would not have a clue so while it is still half ass working, I want to have it replaced.

Big time bummer. Sorry to hear.

I had a front diff leak at 20k. I added 6100 bilsteins to my non SAS. Took it to the dealer here in DFW. They did the warranty work no questions asked. I expected them to say something silly about the mild lift. You just need to find the right dealer, which can be a crapshoot. 🎲

my dealer was grapevine ford but that is about 700 miles for you.

I had the 7MT grinding issue, and Loveland Ford was on it. They let me drive it until the transmission came in, and didn't make me jump through all the TSB hoops most dealers were putting customers through. They may be worth a try.
