Hey everyone - looking for advice in regards to issues I've been having the with torque converter on my 23' 2-door OBX 2.7.
Around 4000 miles tried to get an oil change done and was turned away until a "rear main seal" leak was fixed. Took it to the dealer they replaced a handful of seals, and did a complete tear down/rebuild of the transmission. It was found that the "transmission front pump seal was leaking"
around 8000 miles I crawled under the bronco to see if anything was leaking and found red transmission fluid built up on the housing, not enough to see on the driveway/ground (see previous post). The transmission was pulled again. It was Found that the leak was coming from two points. Dealer fixed and got the vehicle back.
now I'm just over 10,000 miles and crawled under there the other day to see more transmission fluid on the housing.
I have an appointment this week, but just not sure if anything else can be done, I really don't feel like I should have to crawl under the bronco to check every 2-4k miles to see if I'm leaking transmission fluid. Only got it in December of 2022.
Is there anything I can get the dealer to do to look into this problem further so it doesn't keep happening?
