Buckle Up Buttercup on YouTube recently posted an interesting video on using Street Glow instead of formal rock lighting. May be worth considering!

The Diode Dynamics rock lights are VERY Popular that we sell. For good reason. They are larger then your traditional rock light but that allows them to actually be installed easier, since there's actually places to MOUNT them. They also have a few different styles of mounts, such as the magnetic mounts (my favorite).

You can get a 4 pack or an 8 pack. I'd recommend the RGBW ones, with a bluetooth controller, as you can make them whatever color you want.

You can start with a 4 pack, one in each wheel well and then add more later as you need to/want to.

Check them out here. We've got them IN STOCK with FREE SHIPING and you earn REWARDS POINTS as well.

The Best part. MADE IN THE USA! Yeah!! No overseas cheap junk here! Gotta love an American Made product.

So the RGBW also does amber. Sounds right but just making sure. The only part that I can’t decide on is how many and where to mount. I have a 2 door Bronco heritage, what do you recommend?

It does whatever color you can imagine.

The # depends on where they are going. One in each wheel well = 4. Or if you are doing them underneath maybe 6.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. My OCD is taking over. I’ll check out another 100 YouTube’s and 150 Chewey, Hotels.com, and Priceline commercials before I commit to ordering šŸ˜‚. The DD’s and KC’s have awesome customer support so I know either brand is going to be a win for me. I’ll order from you. Are there any coupons floating around that are active right now. Never hurts to ask!

No sorry Diode Dynamics does not permit dealers to discount their brand outside of holidays. Right now there is not a holiday promotion happening.

And then add the front and rear ditch lights....

Thank you for sharing. That’s perfect! Is this your setup?
4 wheel wells
2 for both middle sides
1 front
2 back or just 1?

2 front 2 back 1 under center forward facing 1 under center rear facing one on each side facing out at about 30 degrees from horizontal and then the 4 extras I put in the wheel wells..... (12 total) I made my own mounts out of aluminum so I could direct the light where I wanted it. and then after deciding where I permanently mounted them.

Placement is challenging. there is always a slider or skid in the way if you are trying to mount them high enough they won't end up getting scraped off by the rocks.... so a lot of light is blocked.

Thanks for the heads up on the placement. You have to be very determined and plan your day for the project I’m sure! That looks perfect with what you’ve done. I’m getting ready to put the dual pair of rigid ditch lights on each side of the mirrors. I def feel the vibe that you’ve got going on with yours. Looks awesome!! Thanks for chiming in and sharing the photos along with the great advice. I get a little OCD so the placement and number was driving me a little crazy.

OCD? plan my day? It took me two weeks of testing with a battery connected to each one trying to place them up high enough and figuring out how to manufacture mounts that placed then where I wanted. Yea...OCD...

🤣 I totally hear you. I’m planning my Rigid dual ditch light install and it’s like Wild E. Coyote with schematics, rockets and the road runner all over the wall. I get loads of satisfaction doing it myself but then I’m always checking things afterwards to make sure it’s still there šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø. When in doubt, JD Weld it!

Ford Bronco Thoughts on rock lights? 1745365741925-22
Cheap amazon lights for now but they are effective and I dont feel bad if one succumbs to a rock. Pictured on gold bar rim just above the waterfall.

Just watched an YouTube install on these. That’s a pretty intense install and having OCD and arthritis on top of that too…crap.

Beautiful there! That’s a great photo. Once I get all my gear up I’ll take pics and send them. There’s a lot of beautiful spots in WV that I can take advantage of .I really like the placement locations that both you and 5GENIDN shared. I was also looking around at the cheaper selling lights and I hear what you’re saying, if one goes out get a cheap backup pair. I’m just getting really limited on my physical abilities so I don’t want to go through all the effort and then run into issues, even I though it’s possible have just as many issues with more expensive brand .i elected to go with Diode even though I have KCHighlights installed on my roof rack. But I have the form headlight installed on my Bronco. I think the wheel whells have to get the lighting to get all together I think nice customer support. If I send an email about a product and no one responds I move on, really am just l just testing how responsive they are if I need warranty repair. I went ahead and placed an order through 4x4 LEDs for 112 lights. Getting pumped to see how everything flows at the end. I’ve still got lights by lighting trends that I have installed on my challengers, lots of projects with so little time. Thanks for sharing the pick, you’ve gotta a nice beast.

I’m sure I did it all wrong but have 2 cheap eBay lights in each wheel well and on at each end of each rocker skid/step…better than nothing…
