Hi All! I think my next upgrade I want to do is swap out my stock big bend halogen headlights for the LED signature headlights. Problem is, cost. Has anyone bought and been okay with the lower cost of some of the aftermarket ones I've seen on ebay or Amazon? I've seen them as low as $450 and as high as $1600 and as much as I know "you get what you pay for", I'm trying to stay within a budget, so need to know if I need to save up for the more expensive ones or if someone has purchased a lower cost pair and been okay with them.

Just so you are clear, your "base" headlights are also LED, just a different design. If you are going for a different design, that's fine, if you want better illumination, the signature headlights won't be any different.

I've only seen a few aftermarket headlights spoke about out loud here.

Morimoto XRGB are a ~stay away from~ product. A lot of folks who tried them have been through multiple warranty returns and they just seem to have issues. Don't think it affects the other Morimoto products though.

Other than that - most people seem happy with what they bought. I've heard mention that the Oracle lights bounce a bit, but nothing crazy and those that have them seem to love the output and look. Form and Alpharex get high marks.

For the cheap cheap HXZMNA and GOOPLAJS brand stuff on Amazon and other marketplaces... caveat emptor

If you can find the OEM Signature lights, it's pretty much a plug and play swap:
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/swapped-headlights-for-signature-leds.29909/

I believe the part numbers are M2DZ-13008-A and M2DZ-13008-B -- but I'm not a parts guru around here. As @JBlanco said, you won't gain a noticeably brighter lamp though, just the LED ring around the assembly for looks.

The only switch from halogen to led is for TAILlights, but only certain models like my Base

If you need another set led lights just get some OEM take offs

Some upgrade the head lights from non-signature to signature headlights, but it's for looks and they are both led

I have the XRGB and on my 3rd set due to failures in the color changing part. Quite a few of us have had this problem. Ive read where a couple people traded them out for the standard xb model and had no issues.

While the base headlight and signature are both LED, the signature lights absolutely have better illumination and more light output from the LEDs.

i have had both sets of lights installed in my vehicle and can absolutely see a difference.

Looking at the two sets of lights side by side you will notice the base lights do not have a led driver module like the signature lights. The basic led board in the base lights is driven directly from the 12v input on the light connector.

Hmm.

I won't say your wrong - and I've not driven with Signature lights in the Big Bronco. On the Sport, the signature lights do have a crisper cut-off.

But as far as actually lighting up the road - not really much difference to me

Here's some subjective data, there's a slight difference between the distances (mostly with high beams) - but nothing signifigant and most of the numbers are probably within the margin of error. Both get rated as "Marginal"
https://www.iihs.org/ratings/vehicle/ford/bronco-4-door-suv/2021#headlights

My DD SSC2 Pro Fog Lights put the headlamps to shame, and the SS3 Pros make the high beams look like AA-powered flashlights. Apart from just how they look, if you are after light output - I'd recommend going with other-than-headlamps -- fog lamps, light bars and ditch lights can throw a lot more light where you need it. The trick is being street legal with them, which varies state to state.

It's more the look than anything. But that is good to know. Thank you!

Thank you! I was going to see if I could just get the OEM from a different model but don't know if they all have a different look or is it just the base and big bend that have this look and the rest all have the halo?

Thanks! I guess I realize that now. It is to switch from the non-signature to the signature for the looks. I just like the signature ones better. Do you know if the base and big bend models are the only ones with the non-signature?

It's Standard (no halo) or Signature lighting (with halo) ... base, BB, BD all had Standard and then you could opt for it a little while on the BL. Base never had the option to go Signature, BB and BD did (also the standard HE) but with '25 no one has an option, you either get it or you don't.

I'm happy with the standard LEDs, to me it's more fitting but the Signature lights do rank better in the NHTSA headlight tests.

I actually want to get more lights, but won't do that until I can save the money to swap out the bumper first. Got stock low end bumper as well. I've seen a few of the modular and capable bumpers on market place from others who have swapped them out, but not sure that's the route I want to go yet. Won't be doing a bunch of offroading, so it's more doing things I like the look of than anything. And I would like to light up the road a little more, these ones are not good at all and I can barely tell the difference when the brights are on.

Not quite sure about the standards, but I do know that when I merge onto the freeway in dusk or dark, my signature signal lights will light up the big freeway signs in an amber flashing manner.
Same route to work I did for years in my F250, and never saw a reflection off the freeway signs like that.
I see the same thing of the backs of cars in the turn lane. Crazy bright.

Thank you zoober! I think I want to see if I can get OEM instead of aftermarket. I am going to see if I can get them directly from Ford.

I had OEM Signature lights sold them for $700ish locally when I went to projectors from FORM.

Don't take an incremental step, go straight to the projectors at $800 on sale. HUGE upgrade. The OEM lights are as bad as my old 4Runner.
