Would you still need that little doohickey if you’re upgrading the amp as well? Or is it one of those things to have now just as a precaution
If you are using an aftermarket amp (like a Kicker) - most of those can do line level detection and turn on when they see the radio signal come on, and they are pretty good about it. But it does depend on amp style/make/model.

I know with my Kenwood, I tried to use that signal, and didn't work at all. But switched over to line level detection and it works just fine - no issues. Forscan settings may have had something to do with that though - not sure how they affect the EN/CLIP signal.

If you are trying to use a Fusion amp or other Ford-OEM style amp, it seems to be hit or miss.

I am starting to think this is related to the SoC of the battery..

Hi there. I have a new 23 Big Bend SAS (2000 miles) mid package and at times it takes a while for the sub to kick in. Yes I actually have the full 7 speaker system non-B&O. I would assume that it only powers on when it senses signal from the main unit however I often have to turn it up past 17 or so and power it off and on many times then finally the bass kicks in from the sub. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't want a dealer trip just for that but not sure if it's a bad amp or just something loose. This speakers systems not the best but is total crap without the sub working.
Has anyone figured out the cause of this I have a 24 badlands doing the exact same thing and the dealer is useless it’s driving me nuts and for what the vehicle costs ford needs to have a solution

I wanted to bump this old thread to see if there’s been a fix. My ‘23 BB still does this. Frequently I have to turn the volume up past 20 to get the sub to turn on. It’s done this since day one.
